Position Overview

Dealfront is seeking an experienced Website Manager to join our team. The Website Manager will oversee the development, management, and optimisation of our company’s web presence. Reporting to the Director of Content Marketing, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the website to support marketing and sales initiatives, ensuring it’s optimised for user experience and lead generation. This role is critical for driving our digital strategy, improving website performance, and increasing conversion rates.

As part of the Studio Pod, which includes a Design Manager, Graphic Designer, and Copywriter, you will collaborate closely with teams like Product Marketing, Growth Marketing, and Performance Marketing. Together, you will ensure that the website aligns with broader marketing objectives and contributes to the success of our company’s overall strategy.

The ideal candidate will have a strong mix of technical and strategic skills, with a focus on continuous improvement to keep our digital presence competitive in the market.

Responsibilities

  • Website Management & Maintenance:
    • Oversee day-to-day website operations, ensuring all pages are up-to-date, accurate, and fully functional.
    • Work with cross-functional teams, including Product Marketing, Growth Marketing, and Performance Marketing, as well as other areas of the business like Sales and Customer Success, to plan and implement new features, content, and design updates.
    • Manage website hosting, security, and troubleshooting in coordination with the IT department or external vendors.
  • SEO & Performance Optimization:
    • Work collaboratively with our SEO agency to increase website traffic, enhance search engine rankings, and ensure pages are optimised for organic search.
    • Monitor website performance using tools like Google Analytics, identifying opportunities for improvements in site speed, user experience, and other KPIs.
  • Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO):
    • Analyse user behaviour through tools like heatmaps and A/B testing, developing insights to enhance the website’s ability to capture leads and convert visitors.
    • Implement conversion-focused landing pages, call-to-actions (CTAs), and forms to drive signups and demo requests.
  • Content Management:
    • Work with our Content Pods to maintain and optimise Content Management Systems to ensure smooth content publishing and updates.
    • Ensure content aligns with SEO best practices and brand guidelines.
  • Website Analytics & Reporting:
    • Regularly report on website performance, including traffic, user engagement, and conversion metrics.
    • Use data-driven insights to guide decisions and provide recommendations for website enhancements.
  • Project Management:
    • Manage website-related projects, from initial concept and scoping to development and launch.
    • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely execution of website updates and projects.
  • Compliance & Security:
    • Ensure the website complies with legal requirements such as GDPR and other privacy standards.
    • Regularly conduct security audits and manage website backups.
  • Professional Development:
    • Encourage and facilitate ongoing professional development within the team, providing opportunities for training and skill enhancement.
    • Lead by example, staying informed about industry advancements and continuously improving your own skills.

Requirements

Website Management

  • Proficiency in managing and maintaining websites, ensuring functionality and accuracy, ideally within the B2B SaaS sector and with multilingual websites.
  • Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) like Contentful, WordPress, Drupal, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with developer platforms such as GitHub, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Knowledge of website hosting, troubleshooting, and coordination with IT teams or vendors.

SEO (Search Engine Optimisation)

  • Understanding of SEO best practices and the ability to work with SEO agencies to optimise search engine rankings.
  • Experience with tools like Google Analytics and Search Console to monitor and improve website performance.
  • Familiarity with on-page and technical SEO.

Performance Optimisation

  • Expertise in website performance tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and PageSpeed Insights to enhance site speed and user experience.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify improvement opportunities through KPIs.

Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO)

  • Proficiency in using tools like heatmaps (e.g., Hotjar) and A/B testing platforms to analyse user behaviour and improve conversion rates.
  • Experience creating high-conversion landing pages, forms, and CTAs.

Content Management & SEO Alignment

  • Knowledge of content management processes, including optimisation of CMS for smooth content updates.
  • Ability to ensure content aligns with SEO and brand guidelines.

Project Management

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage website-related projects from concept to launch.
  • Familiarity with agile or other project management methodologies, ensuring timely delivery.

Website Analytics & Reporting

  • Advanced skills in web analytics platforms like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Dreamdata, SEMrush, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to interpret data, create reports, and provide actionable insights for website enhancements.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work with cross-functional teams like Product Marketing, Sales, and external vendors.
  • Ability to bridge technical and non-technical team members.

Security & Compliance

  • Knowledge of website security best practices and compliance with regulations like GDPR.
  • Experience conducting security audits and managing backups.
