Owner is a remote-first, global company headquartered in San Francisco, with a sales hub in Toronto. For a few of our roles we prioritize in-person collaboration at one of our office locations. 🔍 Why we’re looking for you
We are looking for an exceptional Engineering Manager to lead a group of talented senior and staff engineers at Owner. Our ideal candidate is an inspiring leader who is strong technically and brings positivity and passion to their work and their teams.
For this particular role we are prioritizing candidates located in the San Francisco Bay Area. We are a remote-first company headquartered in SF, where our team comes together for periodic in-person collaboration (most local teammates opt to come in on Tuesdays/Thursdays). 🤝 Who you’ll work with
- This role reports to our SVP of Engineering
- This role will partner closely with Design, PMs and various stakeholders throughout the company.
- You will lead a group of experienced and exceptionally talented engineers!
✅ What we’re looking for
- At least 4 years of experience managing engineering teams, either directly or as a tech lead
- Staff-level (IC6+) engineering experience prior to shifting into a management role
- Experience building high-performing teams and hiring A+ talent
- Excitement around keeping coding skills sharp, and jumping into the trenches with the team as needed
- Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver new product features rapidly
- Voracious learner. Wants to grow, master their craft, self actualize
- Motivated by and extremely passionate about our mission.
🏆 Pay and benefits
- The estimated base salary range for this role is $200K-$250K, depending on experience, level and location. The offer also includes a a generous pre-IPO equity package.
