Role Summary
Penta is looking for a Brand Strategy Intern to join our team for the summer and play a hands-on role in bringing creative ideas to life. As part of our dynamic creative strategy team, you’ll collaborate with designers, strategists, and directors on real client projects, contributing to campaigns that tackle meaningful challenges. The Brand Strategy Intern is expected to:
- Lead landscape and competitive analyses to uncover insights that shape compelling creative platforms and brand strategies
- Collaborate closely with strategy leads to develop foundational planning documents—ensuring all creative briefs and strategy deliverables are insight-driven and brand-aligned
- Partner with creative strategy and production teams to translate strategic direction into integrated campaign rollouts across channels
- Develop performance reports in partnership with strategists to distill key campaign metrics and provide clients with actionable insights
- Manage and track client feedback, ensuring campaign optimization requests are clearly communicated and implemented efficiently across teams
- Provide copywriting and content development support to help bring creative concepts to life through clear, engaging, and brand-consistent messaging
- Maintain a deep understanding of clients’ industries and market dynamics to proactively inform team strategy and creative decision-making

The ideal candidate will have:
- Currently pursuing undergraduate coursework, or holds a bachelors degree, with a focus in journalism, marketing, business, political science, or a related discipline being preferred
- Proficiency building compelling presentations using Google Slides or Powerpoint
- Experience using Excel or Google Sheets to present, organize, and analyze data
- Excellent written communication skills
- An interest in storytelling and creative conceptualization
- Foundational knowledge of Marketing, Advertising, or branding best practices 
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple, competing priorities
- Strong analytical and project management skills
- Ability to take initiative; motivated and self-starting
- Strong attention to detail
- A highly intellectually curious mindset, with an interest in learning about new industries and creative project scopes
- Bonus points: an interest in policy or political advocacy from past work experiences, or undergraduate course work

Compensation:
This is a non-exempt position eligible for overtime. The hourly pay for this internship will be $20 per hour. Any pre-approved hours worked over 40 hours per week will be paid at time and a half.

Location and Remote Schedule:
For this position we are only considering applicants located in the United States who are able to work remotely 40 hours per week, with a preference for candidates who can work Eastern Time hours.
