Job Description
The Strategy & Innovation Associate Director plays a key role in developing our patient support strategies across the US Patient Services portfolio for current and future pipeline products. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys identifying potential opportunities to create exceptional patient treatment plan experiences. This person will be responsible for directing the strategy for the above-brand enterprise programs, partnering with leaders within the Patient Services organization, and cross-functional leaders supporting US Patient Services. They will work in a team environment, with direct reports, to ensure a seamless program experience across all patient services partners, both internal and external. Position works cross-functionally across teams, including Marketing, Market Access, MABI, Care Model Strategy, and Patient Services, along with Legal and OEC.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic design, development, and implementation of future programs for patients with access barriers (co-pay, rebate, free goods/bridge/voucher).
- Collaborate strategically with the US Commercial organization to gain a comprehensive understanding of the care model and enhance its effectiveness and integration.
- Spearheaded developing and implementing robust internal processes for the patient journey, ensuring readiness for a successful launch. Post-launch, take charge of ongoing assessment, refinement, and optimization to enhance efficacy and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Collaborating cross-functionally to ensure program offerings are effective in removing access barriers.
- Partner with legal and compliance teams to ensure programs are compliant.
- Analyze and recommend business rule changes in response to competitive and market dynamics.
- Work with MABI and consultants to ensure detailed and timely analytics, providing insights and performance reporting.
- Partner with the US Patient Services team to ensure operational alignment.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or similar is required.
- Pharmaceutical industry-related experience is preferred.
- 7-10 years of foundational knowledge of the US access and reimbursement environment and a detailed understanding of how support programs operate.
- Experience working with and managing large tactical programs involving multiple external partners
- Operational experience working on customer service programs.
- Database management and analytical and IT experience are preferred.
- Excellent Excel spreadsheet skills
- Strong planning, organization skills, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
