Accounting Officer (Remote, Cebu based)

Description

As an Accounting Officer in LegalMatch, your role is to support financial operations by auditing, monitoring accounts, and maintaining records. You'll also assist with ledger maintenance, financial statement prep, audits, expense management, and regulatory compliance. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Conducting internal audits to ensure compliance within the company processes and regulations. 
  • Conducting audit checks on company assets 
  • Assisting in general ledger maintenance, bank statement reconciliation, and journal entry recording. 
  • Supporting financial statement preparation and compile reports for management review. 
  • Preparing analysis of budget vs actual variances 
  • Reviewing and reconciling filing of Quarterly VAT returns 
  • Preparing documentary requirements and processing VAT refund claim.  
  • Ensuring compliance with PEZA/BIR/SEC/BOI 
  • Assisting in year-end audit by providing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries. 
  • Assisting in drafting policies and processes to ensure efficient workflow 
  • Conducting financial analysis to identify trends and prepare ad-hoc reports as needed. 
  • Performing other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 
  • With 2-5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance. 
  • With at least 2 years of experience in Regulatory reporting and compliance (PEZA, BIR, SEC, BOI) 
  • Knowledgeable in payroll processing. 
  • Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel. 
  • With strong attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • With excellent organizational and time management skills. 
  • Has the ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • With strong communication and interpersonal skills.
