Vice President of Product Marketing

The Role
TimelyCare is seeking a Vice President of Product Marketing to serve as a leader in accelerating efforts to drive growth and retention through messaging, positioning, sales enablement, and competitive insights.

As our Product Marketing leader, you will work with our Marketing, Product, Client Success, and Sales teams to build out comprehensive messaging for our TimelyCare product offerings to ensure success in the B2B higher education market. This role will be a high-impact, high-visibility leadership position that will collaborate closely and strategically with other leaders across the entire organization and report to the Chief Marketing Officer.

    • You have experience building and executing B2B2C marketing strategies
    • You can easily pivot between high-level strategic thinking and vision setting to execution with an eye on the details. You are okay with a lot of ambiguity, and generally thrive in it.

What You'll Do

    • Develop a deep understanding of TimelyCare offerings, the Higher Education market and key personas.
    • Define, communicate, and evangelize value propositions that differentiate TimelyCare products to the various different market segments we serve.
    • Identify market trends and requirements leveraging primary and secondary research; compare our products to our competitors, pinpointing feature and service gaps and communicating them to the product management team.  
    • Spearhead go-to-market strategies and collaborate as a cross-functional team member to lead new market entry and new product offerings.
    • Lead new product launch and enhancement release communications to internal stakeholders.
    • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to build out customer personas, segmentation, and recommendations that will inform and influence our product roadmap and marketing strategy. Maintain intelligence on competition and industry, providing insights cross functionally.
    • Enable our sales and business development teams with targeted collateral, playbooks, presentations and messaging; drive consistency in the value that we articulate through all channels.
    • Create client and internal facing materials or training to support product adoption and increase product effectiveness.
    • Manage relationships with customer advisory boards and influencer groups to gather feedback and foster advocacy for the brand.
    • Develop and implement customer retention campaigns to enhance brand reputation and value, thereby reducing customer churn.
    • Provide market feedback and research insights to the overall B2B Marketing team to guide messaging and marketing strategy
    • Work with sales team members and other internal stakeholders to provide training on value propositions and product positioning. 

What You Bring

    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business, or other relevant field 
    • 8+ years of product marketing experience in a B2B marketing leadership role, with education experience preferred
    • A compelling storyteller able to communicate solutions in a crisp and simple way.
    • Ability to prioritize and efficiently communicate to diverse audiences, including our market, our sales team, our executive leadership, and the company as a whole.
    • Proven track record of identifying market trends, collecting competitive intel, and creating mechanisms to garner customer feedback to build a cohesive and comprehensive product marketing strategy.
    • A track record of delivering measurable results by incorporating AI into marketing strategies, product launches, and positioning efforts. 
    • Strong project management and cross-collaboration skills to drive varied teams to consensus around go-to-market strategies and plans. 
    • Working knowledge of agile marketing, preferred
    • Working knowledge of Salesforce and Hubspot, preferred

The salary range for this opportunity is $215,000 – $225,000 per year, depending on education and experience. This is the base pay. You will be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to the base pay, to be discussed during the interview process.
