Your Role as a Technical Project Manager:

This position is responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects. The position will be accountable for timely and high-quality execution and delivery of the projects from concept through final implementation. This position requires to keep a close eye on software design, architecture, and integration points, ensuring that the technical components align well with the project’s goals.

A day in the life of a Technical Project Manager: 

  • Manage multiple work streams and deliver results in a timely manner; Meticulously follows-up and follows-through issues and actions and drives them to closure in a timely manner; Work closely with the team to identify and communicate critical paths. 
  • Ensure efficient utilization of skills and timely completion by assigning the right tasks to the right team members with the understanding of the technical landscape. 
  • Ensure the project’s vision is technically feasible by bridging the gap between concept and execution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and build schedules and plans; Identifies and manages dependencies with other internal or external teams; Work with the teams and customers to align deliverables expectation.
  • Handle issues and risks proactively; Rigorous about maintaining project issue log, risk register, and action items.
  • Act as the bridge between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders to improve transparency and communication of the information; translating complex technical jargon into understandable updates to stakeholders and relaying feedback from stakeholders to technical teams.
  • Analyze completed project phases, review the areas of improvement and implement changes to optimize future cycles.
  • Upskilling team members, ensuring the team stays updated with the latest technological trends and best practices.
  • Mentor team members through the entire project life cycle, fostering a positive environment. Motivate team members, address conflicts and make critical decisions. 
  • Any other duties as assigned. 

What You'll need:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline.
  • Project Management certification (PMP, Prince2, CAPM) is an added advantage.
  • Min 3 years’ experience in leading a technical team and managing software development. Preferred those with software development experience and have a grasp of the best practices.
  • Experience/ familiar in using JIRA and extracting reports from JIRA. 
  • Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to navigate technical and project challenges.
  • Ability to negotiate and balance the stakeholder requirements and project constraints. 
  • Work collaboratively with diverse teams and ability to make informed decision.
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
