Staff Engineer .NET | Platform Team (f/m/d)

Now, We’re looking for an exceptional Staff Engineer (f/m/d) versatile in C# and .NET to join our Platform team!

Our platform running on Open APIs consists of 35+ microservices that communicate mainly via Kafka. The primary technologies we use on the backend are .NET, Terraform, AWS, Docker, ECS, and DataDog. 

What You’ll Be Up To:

  • Design, build out and maintain the application reliability of the Apaleo platform;
  • Ensuring the platform remains scalable and the codebase remains maintainable;
  • Proactively monitoring the services in production and spotting potential issues;
  • Enabling engineering teams with self-service infrastructure as code (AWS, terraform);
  • Define best practices around making our systems and services measurable and collaborate with our product teams to get those best practices applied;
  • Contribute to the optimization of cloud Infrastructure costs for sustainability;
  • As a Staff Engineer, you will be the main point of contact for other stakeholders and the technical interface for the team;
  • Participate in regular on-call rotations to manage and resolve production issues.

Your Skills:

  • +8 years of experience with a proven track record of Technical Leadership, tackling complex problems, coordinating the implementation of features with stakeholders;
  • You are an expert in .NET backend development and related technologies such as AWS, Docker, ECS/k8s, Kafka and PostgreSQL;
  • In-depth knowledge of microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architecture;
  • Solid knowledge of cloud computing services such as Amazon Web Services (AWS);
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex issues related to cloud infrastructure;
  • Eagerness to dive into the logic of hotel operations, to balance and predict the load accordingly.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate cross-team successfully.
