Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Role Overview

You’ll be joining the engineering team responsible for delivering PacerPro’s SaaS and on-premise solutions that orchestrate case data workflows and provide data driven legal insights for our clients. You will be significantly contributing towards quality assurance of our strategic initiatives across various product lines. Initially, you will focus on manual testing, collaborating closely with developers and senior QA engineers. Over time, you will have the opportunity to learn and contribute to a greenfield test automation suite, making this role a strong career growth opportunity. Depending on fit, you will be considered for opportunities to contribute to GenAI use cases on our product roadmap, bringing cutting-edge technology to our suite of solutions.

Responsibilities

    • Design, write, and execute manual test cases to ensure comprehensive test coverage for our Pacerpro and Manifold products.
    • Perform functional, regression, exploratory, and UI testing on our applications.
    • Identify, document, triage, and validate defects throughout the software development lifecycle.
    • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and senior QA engineers to understand requirements and identify test scenarios and test plans.
    • Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives within an Agile environment.
    • Learn and contribute to test automation over time, starting with test case preparation and simple automation tasks.
    • Assist in refining QA processes and documentation to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related major.
    • 2+ years of software testing experience with a primary focus on manual testing.
    • Strong understanding of test case creation, defect tracking, and testing methodologies.
    • Familiarity with Agile development practices and working in a fast-paced environment.
    • Experience testing both SaaS and on-prem applications, including UI, API, functional, and regression testing.
    • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team.
    • Willingness and eagerness to learn test automation (prior exposure is a plus).

Nice-to-have

    • Experience with API testing (Postman, REST-assured) or performance testing tools.
    • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based testing environments.
    • Basic familiarity with test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright) or scripting languages (Python, JavaScript) is a plus.
    • Previous experience in legal tech and/or regulated industries is a plus.
