Job Summary:

As a Software Engineer III at Nextech, you will play a key role in designing and developing next-generation software solutions for our product suite. Working in a collaborative, Agile environment, you’ll contribute to building high-quality, scalable software that enhances user experience and workflow efficiency.

In this role, you’ll bring deep technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and flexibility to tackle complex development tasks. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, participate in code reviews, and help drive best practices in modern software development. The ideal candidate is curious, creative, and motivated—eager to improve themselves, their team, and the products they build.

Essential Functions

    • Develop & Maintain Software:
    • Design and build software using C#, Angular, SQL, and JavaScript frameworks.
    • Develop and maintain robust, scalable microservices.
    • Contribute to zero-downtime deployments by leveraging best coding practices.
    • Embrace Agile & DevOps Best Practices:
    • Work in a SCRUM environment, collaborating with product owners and team members.
    • Follow CI/CD principles, ensuring seamless integration and deployment.
    • Perform mutual code reviews to maintain high-quality standards.
    • Mentorship & Team Collaboration:
    • Guide and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
    • Engage in open and constructive team discussions, driving technical excellence.
    • Work closely with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and cross-functional teams.
    • Problem-Solving & Innovation:
    • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
    • Create advanced SQL queries to optimize performance.
    • Bring a full-stack perspective, ensuring seamless integration of front-end and back-end solutions.

Minimum Requirements

    • 5+ years of industry experience in software development.
    • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server and advanced query writing.
    • Strong C#, Angular, and SQL development skills.
    • Proven experience in Scrum/Agile methodologies.
    • Demonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers.
    • Experience delivering market-ready software products.
    • A deep understanding of DevOps principles and their role in high-functioning teams.
    • A passion for clean, efficient code and unit testing.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
    • Familiarity with microservices architecture.
    • Hands-on experience with modern CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience developing software in healthcare or regulated industries.

Working Environment / Physical Demands

    • Remote position with occasional travel for team meetings or training.
    • Requires significant time working on a computer monitor.
