What weβre looking for
As a Senior Snowflake Consultant, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing data solutions using Snowflake's cloud data platform. You will have a dual responsibility of being hands-on with technical tasks while also managing a team of Snowflake developers. Your role will involve overseeing the development of data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and leading your team to deliver high-quality data solutions. You will also stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure our data strategy remains innovative and effective.
Location: 100% remote anywhere in Spain or Poland.
Responsibilities
Technical Leadership and Implementation
β’ Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Snowflake.
β’ Implement Snowflake solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing data architecture.
β’ Ensure data quality and integrity across all Snowflake data solutions.
β’ Lead the technical troubleshooting and optimization of existing Snowflake implementations.
β’ Set up best practices across the team in terms of data modelling, QA and optimization
Team Management and Development
β’ Manage and mentor a team of Snowflake developers, providing guidance and support.
β’ Assign tasks and projects to team members based on their skills and project requirements.
β’ Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
β’ Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
Strategic Data Utilisation for Customer Engagement through Braze
β’ Become an expert in working with Snowflake and Braze together. Understand Brazeβs platform in and out, itβs data model, and specially the best ways to power Braze through Snowflake.
β’ Become a specialist in Braze data and how it can be reported on and generate valuable insights for the client.
β’ Be able to work through a Customer Engagement data plan and translate it into an actionable set of data models in Snowflake
β’ Understand and work with core Customer Engagement and Braze concepts such as custom events, user attributes and syncing data from Snowflake into Braze.
Project Management
β’ Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of Snowflake projects.
β’ Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
β’ Manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Storytelling
β’ Use large datasets and a variety of analytical techniques to tell compelling stories with the data in an easy-to-understand manner.
β’ Translate complex data analyses into actionable insights and recommendations for business stakeholders.
Strategic Planning and Execution
β’ Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and refine the data strategy.
β’ Identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business insights and decisions.
β’ Ensure alignment of Snowflake projects with organizational goals and objectives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
β’ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
β’ Proven experience as a Snowflake Developer, with a strong track record in a senior or leadership role.
β’ Extensive knowledge of SQL and experience with data modeling and ETL processes.
β’ Proficiency with Snowflake features such as Snowpipe, Snowflake Data Sharing, and Snowflake Secure Data Sharing.
β’ Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and data integration tools.
β’ Strong leadership and team management skills.
β’ Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
β’ Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
β’ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Snowflake certification.
β’ Experience with other data warehousing solutions (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery).
β’ Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
β’ Understanding of data governance and security best practices.
