Job Description
We are on the search for an experienced Technical Writer with a minimum of 8 years in the field to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in content creation for proposals, white papers, RFI responses and additional solicitation response documents, particularly within the DoD and Federal markets. This role requires close collaboration with technical SMEs to develop clear and compelling narratives that effectively communicate complex technical concepts and highlight our company's value proposition to prospective clients.
What you will do:
- Proposal Development: Lead the creation of technical volume narratives, price volumes, and past performance documentation with minimal input, ensuring alignment with RFP requirements.
- Collaboration: Engage with technical SMEs to extract pertinent information, conducting internal interviews as necessary to gather content for government responses.
- Content Creation: Articulate highly technical concepts in a clear and concise manner, emphasizing the company's value proposition to customers.
- Review Process: Participate in color team reviews, working autonomously to gather and refine content for senior-level evaluations.
- Knowledge Management: Maintain and update documentation for future use, ensuring all responses are stored and organized for easy retrieval.
Expected Accomplishments in the First Six Months:
- Independently lead the development of narratives for various proposal volumes, contributing to successful proposal submissions.
- Demonstrate the ability to perform effectively in color team review processes, collaborating with team members to gather necessary content.
- Establish a systematic approach to knowledge management, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and accessible for future proposals.
Qualifications
Must Haves:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in technical writing, with a focus on proposal writing, white papers, and RFI responses.
- Active Secret clearance or higher.
- Proven experience working within the DoD and Federal markets.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with technical SMEs to gather and synthesize complex information.
- Strong understanding of the proposal development process, including technical volume narratives, price volumes, and past performance documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and persuasively.
- Self-motivated and able to work autonomously with minimal guidance.
- Experience with knowledge management practices, including the upkeep and organization of documentation for future use.

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office
- Constantly work with computers and other information technology equipment
