No coding experience is required. Just design, publish, measure and monetize.

The role

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer with expertise in modern backend frameworks and cloud infrastructure to enhance the development of our cutting-edge immersive technologies. You will be responsible for building scalable, secure, and efficient backend systems, driving innovation in cloud environments, and applying best practices in application security and Kubernetes networking.

In addition to hands-on development, you will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to define requirements, design solutions, and troubleshoot complex issues. Your role will involve mentoring junior engineers, improving our development processes, and driving the technical evolution of our systems to meet both current and future needs.

What you’ll do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using FeathersJS and TypeScript.
• Implement secure and efficient cloud-native architectures using AWS, GCP, or Azure infrastructure.
• Develop and optimize Kubernetes networking components such as NodePort, ClusterIP, Ingress, and LoadBalancer.
• Ensure adherence to application security best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliver robust backend solutions.
• Optimize backend services for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.

What you’ll bring

• Extensive Backend Development Experience You bring 5+ years of professional experience in Backend development
• Proficiency in FeathersJS and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with at least one cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Expertise in Kubernetes, especially networking components (e.g., NodePort, ClusterIP).
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes workflows.
• Demonstrated knowledge of application security best practices in backend development.
• Proven track record of backend development in fast-paced, innovative environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to scalability and security.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams to deliver high-impact solutions.
• Growth mindset with adaptability to new tools and technologies.

We’ll be extra pumped if you have

• Experience with Python.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Expertise in Kubernetes security hardening and cloud security best practices.
• Expertise managing and scaling self-service SaaS products

Base pay will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, certifications, experience, market demands, and locations.
