As a full-stack parking operator, we automate the operation of parking lots and parking garages. We handle everything from advertising to collecting payments from drivers and enforcing against illegal parking. We already operate 300+ parking lots and parking garages across 35 US states and we are growing quickly.

THE ROLE 👩🏾💻
As our first Recruiter you will partner closely with our founders and company leaders to expand our excellent engineering, sales, and operations teams, as well as help us build out newer functions like product and marketing.
You'll need experience in the entire recruiting cycle - from sourcing to closing candidates - and will need the ability to spot talented individuals at various levels of career experience from all types of backgrounds.
You'll be the cornerstone of our recruiting team and will also have significant input into how we build our recruiting process and culture as we scale from dozens to hundreds of employees across the country over the coming years.
WHAT YOU WILL DO 👷♀️
Assist our Founders and leadership team in scaling our best in class team to better serve our customers.
Spend your days sourcing, contacting, and closing top tier talent across the US and around the world.
Ensure candidates understand what AirGarage is and how we have a unique opportunity as a technology company that interacts with the physical world to impact people's daily lives.
Own our recruiting process from end to end in the early days and help us build out a people team as we scale and our hiring needs increase.
Bring in candidates from a wide variety of sources and guide them through the stages of our hiring pipeline toward close.
Support with non-recruiting people related functions such as compensation planning, annual reviews, healthcare, and more.
WHAT YOU NEED 👩🏼🎓
3+ years of full cycle recruiting experience at an agency / staffing firm or at a fast growing start up.
You're excited to build a talent function from the ground up (with the potential opportunity lead it down the line if you excel and grow in the role).
You're experienced in and comfortable with handling the entire recruiting cycle, from sourcing to coordinating to helping close candidates.
You find creative ways to to connect with talent and get a thrill from the daily hunt of sourcing hidden talent.
You can partner with the leadership team to translate business needs into hiring goals.
You pay attention to detail. You take pride in a clean recruiting pipeline. You obsess over staying on top of all candidates in process.
You move fast. You constantly find areas of improvement. You know how to use tools & technology to leverage your time and you know which tools are best for an early to mid stage company's needs.
You are analytical and use numbers to track progress and identify issues.
You have a passion for cultivating an exceptional candidate experience.
You have an ability to discern a candidate's true talent and ability beyond just resume and title matching.
You have experience closing senior candidates across go-to-market, product & engineering roles.
You can tell AirGarage's story in way that resonates with candidates.

Being the first recruiting hire at a high growth startup means many different things, but there is one thing above all that it certainly means: hiring success or failure is ultimately your responsibility.
This will be a hard job. We work long hours at AirGarage, including nights and weekends when necessary, because we love what we do. You will be expected to do the same. We are growing fast but our hiring team is lean, so every day you will have new challenges and too much on your plate, but you’ll be expected to find a way to deliver anyways.
Below are some of the reasons you might not want this job:
You are not excited about being the first (and only, for the time being) recruiting / people team member at an early stage company. You should not take this role if you are not comfortable defining your own process and expect to have a playbook handed to you, because there is no playbook in place today.
You don’t want to be involved in the weeds on every hire, partnering closely with hiring managers to run the entire hiring process from beginning to end, including the nitty gritty tactical work of sourcing, scheduling interviews, creating offers, and everything else involved in running a successful hiring process.
You don’t wake up every day feel energized to source the next great team member that will come to work at AirGarage. Hiring is an extremely rewarding treasure hunt of sorts, and if that isn’t what you live and breathe for and derive immense personal satisfaction from then you likely won’t feel fulfilled in this role.
You aren’t comfortable handling people / HR tasks outside of simply recruiting on an as needed basis. We don’t currently have a dedicated people team so compensation planning, end of year reviews, healthcare, 401k, and more fall on to the plates of our Founders and leadership team currently. We’re ideally looking for someone that is comfortable flexible beyond recruiting (which will absolutely be your top priority and focus in this role) to make sure all of these other people related things are taken care of so we maintain a high level of satisfaction among our current team members.
