The Opportunity 

Flock Safety is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Product Analyst to join our dynamic Product and Growth team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping our customer-facing analytics, working in close collaboration with data engineering and product teams.

This position offers a unique opportunity to prototype, develop, and launch innovative analytical solutions that directly empower our customers to combat crime more effectively. Your expertise will be instrumental in transforming raw data into actionable insights, driving product enhancements, and ultimately contributing to a safer community.

The Skillset 

• 3-5+ years experience in a data analytics role that involves writing SQL queries and using data visualization tools 

• Product-specific experience, particularly in startups or high-growth technology companies, is preferred

• Team player, willing to play the supporting role and build relationships across the organization

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify patterns within enormous datasets

Nice to haves

• Experience with data warehouses designed for real-time analytics (Clickhouse, StarRocks)

• Experience with front end tools designed for embedded analytics (Luzmo, embeddable/trevor.io, Sigma computing)

90 Days at Flock

We are a results-oriented culture and believe job descriptions are a thing of the past. We prescribe to 90 day plans and believe that good days, lead to good weeks, which lead to good months. The First 30 Days

• Learn our embedded analytics front end tooling and back end infrastructure

• Learn our broader data schemata via hands-on support of internal requests

The First 60 Days 

• Explore a new data concept for an embedded analytics product

• Research tradeoffs in our embedded analytics tooling

• Identify technical debt in our embedded analytics reporting

90 Days & Beyond 

• Proof of concept a new embedded data product

• Work with product to solicit feedback on your proof of concept

• Address embedded analytics technical debt

The Interview Process 

We want our interview process to be a true reflection of our culture: transparent and collaborative. Throughout the interview process, your recruiter will guide you through the next steps and ensure you feel prepared every step of the way. 

1. Our First Chat: During this first conversation, you’ll meet with a recruiter to chat through your background, what you could bring to Flock, what you are looking for in your next role, and who we are. 

2. The Hiring Manager Interview: You will meet with your potential future boss to really dive into the role, the team, expectations, and what success means at Flock. This is your chance to really nerd out with someone in your field. 

3. The Panel: Learn more about the team, responsibilities, and workflows. You should be prepared to speak about past projects, how you collaborate and communicate with others, and how you live our values. Depending on the team and role you are interviewing for, you may meet with several teammates as well as cross-functional partners. 

4. The Technical Assessment: Our technical assessments seek to test the hard skills required to do the job. Engineers may find themselves in coding interviews or architecture discussions, sales roles may present mock discovery calls, and leadership roles may craft 90 day plans. Your recruiter will inform you of which assessment you will be assigned and ensure you are fully prepared for your big day. 

Salary & Equity

In this role, you’ll receive a starting salary between $96,000 and $125,000 as well as Flock Safety Stock Options. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, as well as market indicators. Your recruiter will discuss this in-depth with you during our first chat.
