Senior People Business Partner - Sales

The Senior PeopleBusiness Partner will be a business-minded partner to our Sales organization andits leadership. This individual will be hands-on both strategically and operationally in supporting ourrapidly scaling Sales organization across a broad spectrum of human resource disciplines including workforce planning, talentdevelopment and retention, total rewards, sales compensation, performance management, employee relations, and diversity and inclusion. This individual will have a deep and broad understanding of our business and Sales strategy, metrics, and goals, and will use this insight todefine and deliver outcomes that add meaningful, measurable value. Our People Business Partners have strong and flexible points of view, act as truth tellers in a way that people are open to hearing, and use data and business acumen to define, own, and deliver scalable, practical People initiatives that help our organization thrive. 
 
This role will partner and consult with Sales leaders to develop effective sales teams to deliver business objectives through business acumen and learned concepts in sales and sales force effectiveness in talent needs, capabilities, development, and engagement. This individual will have a deep understanding of sales commission and compensation design and delivery and will partner with sales planning and finance to deliver compensation that drives the business forward. As a strategic and operational partner to our Sales leadership, this individual will provide coaching and counsel to further develop the team’s leadership capability.  

How you'll add value:

    • Act as HR subject matter expert, coach and thought leader in partnership with Sales leadership teams to develop and execute holistic workforce strategy for the Sales organization while championing business outcomes and the employee experience in alignment to Restaurant365 culture and values 
    • Build relationships and trust with leaders, managers, and individual contributors across Sales leveraging business acumen, analytical skills, critical thinking, credibility, and influence as the trusted advisor and people partner through strong and visible HR leadership presence with advice, guidance, and support on all people matters 
    • Convert sales strategy that are aligned with company strategy and develop practical, scalable solutions with systems thinking the Sr. PBP and People Team can assist with  
    • Advise and assist Sales leaders in developing effective and measurable sales incentive plans to reach strategic sales goals that are equitable, attractive and drives desired results that align to sales compensation strategy 
    • Identify issues, diagnose root causes, provide insights, offer recommendations, and develop proactive solutions to match people strategies to business strategies through a people talent lens, such as organizational capabilities, skill development, productivity, engagement, inclusion, attraction, retention, and recognition 
    • Provide first line of advice and counsel to address employee and leader questions/concerns related to a wide variety of employee matters including but not limited to performance management, discipline, company policies and practices, salary administration, Title VII, ADA & ADAA, ADEA, harassment/discrimination, retaliation, short-and long-term disability, FMLA as well advice on state and local laws 
    • Use ability to understand business objectives and recommend new approaches, best practices, policies, and procedures to affect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity, and the employee experience 
    • Drive and facilitate talent management initiatives and services in the areas of talent assessment, succession planning, leadership development, organizational development, performance management, employee relations, and compensation administration 
    • Support the business in building manager and leadership capability within Sales through coaching, mentoring, and the talent management process and to accelerate leader effectiveness as they transition between roles and are promoted within the organization 
    • Partner with People Team and business leaders to identify skills and competencies needed to strengthen our company and prepare it for the future through organizational change and evolution 
    • Update and maintain reports related to organizational plans, talent assessments, performance, employee relations, and recruitment 
    • Ability to navigate and flourish in a rapidly changing organization in growth mode and operate comfortably with ambiguity and complexity 
    • Analyze, review, and suggest initiatives and actions based on employee engagement survey data, exit interview data, and other employee data sources to understand trends and make recommendations to People Team leaders and senior leaders 
    • Escalate risks and concerns in a diligent manner to People Team leaders as required 
    • Partner with internal People Team areas including HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, and Learning & Experience to participate in department/organizational projects, roll-out and support HR programs, services, and best practices within the business 
    • Perform other related duties as assigned 

What you'll need to be successful in this role:

    • 10-12+ years demonstrated strategic HR business partner experience in one or more of the following areas: serving sales, professional services or other customer-facing organization; consulting experience in sales or HR environments; working in matrixed high-growth organizations specifically in SaaS and pre-IPO 
    • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a business-related discipline from an accredited university or a combination of education and practical-related work experience 
    • Demonstrated experience advising and developing sales compensation strategies and tactical incentive plans for Sales professionals to reach sales goals ensuring plans are equitable, attractive, and drives desired results 
    • Working knowledge and depth of experience in multiple human resource disciplines including workforce planning, talent and performance management, compensation practices, organizational diagnostics, employee relations, diversity and inclusion, and federal and state employment laws 
    • Ability to comprehend, interpret and apply appropriate sections of applicable laws and guidelines as well as company policies, procedures and practices 
    • Proven ability to engage with employees at all levels of the organization, develop and maintain key relationships, earn trust and credibility, exhibit organizational savvy, and keep information confidential where appropriate 
    • Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors 
    • Capable and confident communicator with proven professional writing and presentation skills and a very strong positive personal presence; possess highly effective communication skills to coach and teach; must be approachable, hardworking, enthusiastic, and has a strong bias and initiative for action 
    • Demonstrated ability to resolve employee relation matters and facilitate mediated sessions to achieve conflict resolution, and the capacity to provide honest, direct, constructive feedback 
    • Excellent time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks, prioritize, work under pressure, be concise, adaptable, collaborative, flexible, and dependable is a must—you will become a strategic partner but you also need to roll up your sleeves 
    • Strong business insight and judgment, team orientated, and provides a collaborative and inclusive style 
    • Ability to maturely balance sensitive and confidential information with experience to research, organize and analyze data to make recommendations and decisions  
    • Ability to think strategically and can establish, articulate, and implement company’s vision for business operations, the culture and employee experience 
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products, Workday, related HRIS systems, timecard management software 
    • Prior HR experience in the SaaS environment and pre-IPO is strongly preferred 
    • PHR and/or SHRM-CP certification preferred 
    • Ability to travel up to 10% may be required

R365 Team Member Benefits & Compensation

    • This position has a salary range of $135,000 - $165,000. The above range represents the expected salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic location. Restaurant365 focuses on equitable pay for our team and aims for transparency with our pay practices.
