Senior Manager, Enterprise Operations - US-Based

Job Summary:

As the Senior Enterprise Operations Manager, you will partner with cross-functional teams to execute strategic initiatives and maintain operational excellence within Toptal’s Enterprise Sales function. Reporting to the Director of Enterprise Operations, you will act as a trusted advisor to Enterprise Sales Leadership while considering the broader impact on SMB Sales and the overall Customer function. This role is critical in bridging the gap between strategic projects and business-as-usual (BAU) processes, leveraging data-driven insights to drive efficiency and scale.

We are looking for a strategic and collaborative problem-solver with strong communication skills and a background in sales or business operations. Key responsibilities include:

·        Lead and execute cross-functional strategic projects from hypothesis through to implementation, ensuring alignment with Enterprise Sales objectives.
·        Oversee critical BAU processes within Enterprise Operations, proactively identifying areas for improvement.
·        Act as a strategic partner and consultant to sales leaders, sharing best practices and advising on operational strategies.
·        Drive cross-functional collaboration with Enterprise Sales, Product, Analytics, Talent Operations, Enablement and many other teams to design and implement scalable solutions.
·        Support change management and ensure alignment and consideration of downstream effects on SMB Sales and the broader Customer Function in all initiatives.
·        Utilize Salesforce, Salesloft, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Gong, and advanced Google Suite tools (GSheet formulas, dashboards) to enable data-driven decision-making.

In the first week, expect to:

·        Onboard and integrate into Toptal’s Customer and Enterprise organizations.
·        Begin building context on the Enterprise strategy and key processes.
·        Meet key stakeholders across Sales, Product, Operations, and Analytics.

In the first month, expect to:

·        Understand Enterprise Operations processes and BAU workflows.
·        Begin leading your first cross-functional project alongside Sales Leadership.
·        Identify and document opportunities for efficiency and enablement.

In the first three months, expect to:

·        Deliver early wins on project execution and process enhancements.
·        Build alignment between key Enterprise stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
·        Provide strategic recommendations based on insights from Salesforce, Gong, and other platforms.

In the first six months, expect to:

·        Deliver measurable improvements to Enterprise Sales operations and BAU performance.
·        Formalize scalable frameworks that improve efficiency and cross-functional execution.
·        Establish yourself as a strategic advisor to Enterprise Sales Leadership, while exercising discretion and independent judgment.
·        Ensure continuous improvement of sales processes with an eye toward long-term growth.

In the first year, expect to:

·        Ensure complete understanding and adoption of Enterprise Sales operations and processes.

Qualifications and Job Requirements:

·        Bachelor’s degree is required.
·        6+ years of experience in sales and/or business operations, process improvement, or a related role.
·        Proven experience managing both strategic projects and BAU operations in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, working adjacent to sales teams.
·        Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
·        Excellent written and verbal communication and problem-solving abilities.
·        A track record of identifying opportunities for efficiency and leading strategic execution with impact.
·        Proficiency with Salesforce, Salesloft, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Gong, and advanced GSuite analytics (GSheet formulas, pivot tables).
·        Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly growing company and handle a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and a diverse array of contacts.

US FLSA Classification: Full-Time/Exempt
 

$130,000 - $150,000 a year
This position receives a base salary and is also eligible to receive a discretionary bonus. The US-based salary range for this full-time position is $130,000 - $150,000 per year. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
