Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and professional Road Tanker Driver Operator to join our growing team and work with us in achieving our goals.  You will have the opportunity to travel and develop positive relationships with customers and team members.  To be successful in this role, you must hold a current MC License, Dangerous Goods Licence, have triple Road Train operating experience as well as mechanical experience.   Based in Groote Eylandt, ideally you will have experience working in remote areas of Australia.

Our Drivers are continuously trained to ensure they maintain the necessary accreditations, licences and the mindset to provide a professional service. You will be part of a team that understands the importance of offering a customised approach to transportation and join a dedicated team who work closely with clients to ensure they can access reliable and cost-efficient transport solutions that meet their needs.

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Bulk fuel storage tank farm operations
  • Inventory management of fuel stock at the Terminal and Mine
  • Loading and truck delivery of bulk fuel to South 32 tanks such as at the Mine site.
  • Provision and operations of and maintenance of Directhaul fuel delivery truck(s)
  • Unloading of LAF isotanks into site storage
  • Oversight of the unmanned “retail” fuel facilit

Experience

  • Current MC driver’s licence. With 5 years driving,  Road train’s experience.
  • Current Dangerous Good Licence
  • Excellent communicational skills, verbal and written.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Be able to pass an employment medical and D&A testing.
  • National Police clearance.
  • Remote area work experience.
  • FIFO (two weeks on/ two weeks off)
  • FIFO out of Darwin or Cairns.
  • 4 weeks holidays
  • 12Hr shifts

Successful candidates will need to satisfy our pre – employment checks including drug and alcohol screening, medical checks and driver history report.
