We are seeking a Pennsylvania-licensed Registered Dietitian for a virtual role. You will conduct telehealth nutrition sessions, offer proactive diet and lifestyle guidance, and collaborate closely with our interdisciplinary team to deliver outstanding patient care. This part-time to full-time position offers an hourly compensation model and flexible scheduling, with the option to increase hours based on patient demand and your availability.

As part of the role, you will receive training in obesity care management from one of the leaders in obesity care, Jamie Kane, MD, co-founder and Chief Medical Officer of Luro Health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Telehealth Nutrition Visits: Provide one-on-one and group virtual consultations, including nutritional assessments, individualized meal planning, and weight management support.

  • Care Coordination: Work in tandem with our care team and partners (physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, behavioral health specialists, and health coaches) to create and implement comprehensive nutrition-focused care plans.

  • Patient Education & Support: Guide patients and caregivers on evidence-based dietary modifications and lifestyle strategies to manage obesity and related chronic conditions effectively.

  • Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR), detailing patient histories, nutritional assessments, treatment plans, and follow-up recommendations.

  • Quality & Compliance: Adhere to clinical protocols, best practices, and regulatory standards (including HIPAA) to ensure the highest quality of care.

  • Technology Utilization: Use telehealth platforms, communication tools, AI-based platforms, and EHR systems to provide efficient, effective virtual nutrition services.

    Requirements:

  • Licensure/Certification:

    • Active and unrestricted Dietitian/Nutritionist license or certification in Pennsylvania (required).

    • Registered Dietitian (RD) credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) (required).

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field from an accredited institution (required).

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Registered Dietitian (required).

    • Experience in obesity or weight management (strongly preferred).

    • Telehealth or virtual care experience (preferred).

    • Familiarity with Medicare and Medicaid patient populations (preferred).

  • Technical Skills: Comfortable using telehealth platforms, EHRs, Google Workspace (e.g., Gmail, Docs, Sheets), or similar software tools.

  • Other Requirements:

    • Ability to effectively conduct virtual consultations via video and phone.

    • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

    • A reliable internet connection and a private, HIPAA-compliant workspace at home.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Registered Dietitian (required).

  • Experience in obesity or weight management (strongly preferred).

  • Telehealth or virtual care experience (preferred).

  • Familiarity with Medicare and Medicaid patient populations (preferred).

  • Technical Skills: Comfortable using telehealth platforms, EHRs, Google Workspace (e.g., Gmail, Docs, Sheets), or similar software tools.

  • Other Requirements:

    • Ability to effectively conduct virtual consultations via video and phone.

    • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

    • A reliable internet connection and a private, HIPAA-compliant workspace at home.

Schedule & Compensation:

  • Hourly Rate: Competitive and commensurate with experience.

  • Hours: Flexible, with the option to increase from part-time to full-time based on patient volume and your availability.
