About the Role:
AutoFi is looking for a passionate and driven Quality Assurance Engineer who is excited to be part of the foundation of our Quality organization. Do you believe that quality starts before any code is written and is not tested for during the final phase of a project? Are you driven to make yourself and your teammates better every day? Are you driven to understand the products you are responsible for at a deeper level that assure you can provide clear and concise feedback to your team? This role is critical to help define and enforce the delivery process and release quality criteria as this organization evolves.

Responsibilities

    • Hands-on experience with both backend and frontend QA testing
    • Building and maintaining strong working relationships across development teams and the organization
    • Writing and managing QA test case suites (manual, UI, API, and automated)
    • Assessing requirements and documenting QA processes
    • Collaborating with project teams to create test plans
    • Accurately tracking and documenting QA progress
    • Assisting project teams with additional research and debugging of issues
    • Working with project leadership to implement quality plans, identify problems, and suggest resolutions
    • Evaluating the product against requirements, designs, and test cases
    • Providing metrics-based assessments and reports on project progress and quality
    • Upholding high QA standards for yourself and your team
    • Reviewing production and delivery expectations, recommending changes to align with team growth
    • Serving as the voice of the user

Qualifications

    • Minimum 2-year experience testing web-based applications - frontend and backend
    • Familiarity with shift-left, QA methodology, testing cycles, and test tools
    • 2+ Years of experience in Java script (Playwright)
    • Extreme attention to detail
    • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and verbal format across disciplines
    • Demonstrate a passion for quality, from product to process
    • Experience with API and automation test tools REQUIRED
    • Experience in an agile development environment preferred
    • Familiarity with CI/CR, TDD/BDD, PII Security is a plus
    • Familiarity with automation frameworks is a plus
    • Familiarity with application performance testing is a plus
    • Strong problem-solving skills

$90,000 - $110,000 a year
