The Purpose:

As a Product Director for the Boarding Domain, you will own the end-to-end accountability for PPRO’s customer onboarding portfolio. You will define and execute a winning strategy to accelerate onboarding efficiency, ensure compliance, and deliver a seamless experience for customers worldwide. Leveraging your deep understanding of the products, technology, regulatory landscape, and customer needs, you will drive innovation, operational excellence, and business growth.

This role offers a unique opportunity to act as the “CPO” of a startup within the structure of PPRO, enabling you to succeed, learn, and innovate while working alongside talented and diverse teams globally.

Mission and Vision of the Boarding Domain:

The Boarding Domain’s mission is to streamline PPRO’s customer onboarding process, providing frictionless, compliant, and efficient access to payment methods while managing customer data securely throughout their lifecycle. The vision is to deliver self-service tools that enable swift, lean, and seamless onboarding while replacing legacy systems with next-generation solutions, such as the Welcome Platform.

What You Will Be Doing:

    • Define and Lead Strategy: Develop and communicate a compelling vision and strategic direction for the Boarding Domain, aligning with PPRO’s mission and business objectives.
    • Innovate and Build Market-Leading Products: Oversee the design and development of onboarding tools and platforms, setting industry standards for efficiency, compliance, and customer experience.
    • Leadership and Team Management: Lead a team of Product Managers, Engineers, and cross-functional contributors to deliver innovative and scalable solutions. Act as a coach and mentor, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement.
    • Drive Operational Excellence: Ensure the successful execution of key initiatives, such as improving onboarding API performance, streamlining manual workflows, and delivering a robust onboarding dashboard.
    • Enhance Compliance and Risk Controls: Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, and Risk teams to address regulatory requirements, manage risks, and enable scalable automated onboarding for high-risk industries and merchants.
    • Customer and Stakeholder Collaboration: Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, understanding their needs to deliver impactful solutions. Actively gather feedback to improve the onboarding experience and product offerings.

What Success Looks Like:

    • Improved Boarding API performance, supporting large-scale onboarding for global customers like Stripe and PayPal.
    • Seamless migration of merchants and PSPs to the Welcome Platform, replacing legacy systems entirely.
    • Enhanced self-service onboarding tools that reduce manual reviews and increase onboarding conversion rates.
    • A collaborative, high-performing team delivering consistent results and maintaining a customer-centric approach.

What We Are Looking For:

    • Exceptional Leadership: Proven experience leading multiple cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, global environment, with a track record of driving results.
    • Product Mindset: A strong ability to understand customer needs, solve complex problems, and design innovative products that simplify and enhance the onboarding experience.
    • Regulatory and Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of onboarding processes, regulatory requirements, and compliance challenges, particularly in the payments or fintech space.
    • Data-Driven Decision Making: Experience leveraging data insights to inform strategies, optimise processes, and track KPIs effectively.
    • Customer-Centric Focus: Ability to listen to and collaborate with customers and stakeholders to create meaningful outcomes that align with their needs.
    • Strong Communication Skills: An ability to influence and inspire internal teams and external decision-makers with clarity, humility, and confidence.
    • Languages: English is a must; Spanish/Portuguese are nice to have.

What You Will Lead:

    • The vision, strategy, and execution of the Boarding Domain.
    • Teams working on onboarding tools and platforms, including the Welcome Platform and Global Portal.
    • Collaboration with Compliance, BI, and Customer Interfaces to deliver scalable, efficient, and compliant solutions.
    • Building a high-performing team of Product Managers and Engineers to deliver outcomes that align with PPRO’s business objectives.
