PowerShell Automation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated PowerShell Scripting Automation Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in scripting and automation; with a focus on PowerShell. This role involves developing, testing and maintaining automation scripts to streamline and enhance our IT Operations.

Responsibilities:

    • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate various tasks and processes.
    • The company has well-documented manual processes. As part of the overall automation excellence project, the goal is to transform these processes into automated systems:
    • Some will be out-of-the-box solutions.
    • Some will be developed from existing documented processes.
    • Efficiently document and manage internal assets, including scripts, code, processes and procedure.
    • Responsible to manage and maintain centralised code repositories within GitHub or other suggested systems.
    • Collaborate with IT and other departments to identify automation opportunities and implement solutions.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation scripts and processes.
    • A large amount of our time is spent onboarding and offboarding users and deploying new laptops. Some of these processes are partially automated and with additional documented manual tasks. The ideal candidate will automate most of these processes for a more efficient allocation of team member’s time.
    • This requires a strong understanding of Windows, proficiency in Microsoft 365, and experience with registry scripts.

    • ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
    • Tools/Software:
    • PowerShell (required)
    • Windows Management – Registry, Group Policy
    • Microsoft 365 – AzureAD, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Intune, Power Automate
    • Sofware Rollout/Management - MSI and scripting deployments

    • Experience:
    • Proven experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
    • Passionate about automation and orchestration
    • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and operations
    • Experienced with Windows devices
    • Familiar with Pia and Rewst automation
    • Prior knowledge of relevant technologies
