As a People Operations Associate on the People & Culture (P&C team), you will play a pivotal role in creating exceptional experiences through the entire employee journey. You will own key People Operations processes, ensuring Zipsters feel valued, supported, and empowered every step of the way. This role requires strong attention to detail, a solutions-driven mindset, and a commitment to delivering outstanding service
Interesting problems you’ll get to solve
- Within the first 6 months
- Take on primary responsibility for new Zipster onboarding, complete an I-9 audit, and master key People Ops tools such as BambooHR, Monday.com, and Jira
- Onboarding & Offboarding
- Manage the full onboarding process for new hires, including facilitating new hire orientation and ensuring system setup.
- Independently manage offboarding processes, including preparing and delivering final paperwork, coordinating with relevant departments, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
- Zipster Support
- Act as a first point of contact for employee queries using Jira Helpdesk, ensuring timely, professional, and accurate responses.
- Resolve or escalate complex issues to appropriate team members or departments while providing excellent support throughout the employee lifecycle.
- HRIS Management
- Manage and maintain employee data and documentation in our HRIS, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Generate reports, analyze data, and identify trends to support People team initiatives.
- Develop expertise in HRIS functionalities and become a go-to resource for system management.
- Benefits Administration
- Support benefit program processes, including employee enrollments, changes, and communications.
- Answer employee benefit-related queries promptly and with clarity.
- Compliance
- Assist with compliance across all employment laws and regulations (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, etc.)
- Support internal audits, reporting requirements, and policy development.
- Communicate policy updates to employees and ensure consistent application across teams.
- Payroll Support
- Assist with payroll processes, including verifying employee data, tracking time off, processing supplemental payments, and resolving discrepancies.
- Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities for improving People Operations processes and workflows.
- Identify opportunities to improve People Operations processes and contribute to the development of new initiatives that enhance the employee experience.
- Special Projects
- Participate in special projects as assigned, such as employee engagement initiatives, policy updates, and HR system implementations as assigned.
What you’ll bring to the team
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience: 1-2 years of professional experience in HR, specifically People Operations or a related function.
- Tech Proficiency: Experience with people operations technologies (e.g., BambooHR, Jira Helpdesk, Monday.com) is required.
- Problem-Solving & Service: Proven ability to provide world-class customer service and resolve issues effectively for both employees and managers.
- Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of employment laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, and FLSA.
- Remote Work Capabilities: Demonstrated success in working independently and remotely, with strong time-management skills.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle competing priorities.
- Communication Skills: Polished written and verbal communication skills to engage with employees and leadership effectively.
- Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Risk Awareness: Aptitude for identifying and managing risks within your role and responsibilities.

Zip is committed to a straightforward and transparent pay structure. The actual base salary will be determined by various individualized factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, location, internal equity, as well as other objective business considerations.
The annual base Pay Range for this position is $50,000 - $65,000. This range reflects our US national compensation (USN). Additional premium percentages may apply based on our tiered premium strategy.
Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
If hired, employees will be in an 'at-will position' and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
