As a Onboarding Engineer at Mangomint, you’ll play a critical role in shaping how new users experience our product from day one. You’ll work across both customer-facing onboarding flows and internal tools that help our team onboard new clients more effectively. This is a frontend-heavy role where you’ll partner closely with Product, Design, Marketing, and Customer Success to design intuitive, elegant, and impactful onboarding experiences that improve activation, time-to-value, and retention.
You’ll also contribute to our broader frontend codebase, collaborating with other engineers to maintain high standards of quality and performance. Whether you're mid-level and eager to grow or bring deeper experience to the table, this role offers a unique opportunity to own high-impact surface areas and build features that define first impressions of Mangomint.
In the Onboarding Engineer role at Mangomint you will:
Design and implement user onboarding experiences — from first login through setup, education, and activation
Collaborate with Design and Product to create intuitive flows that help new users find value quickly and confidently
Work with Customer Success and Marketing to build internal tooling and scalable solutions for client onboarding
Develop polished UI using React, TypeScript, and modern CSS/Sass
Own the frontend implementation of A/B tests, feature flags, and experiments that improve onboarding KPIs
Contribute to our frontend architecture, component library, and UX consistency
Help improve engineering standards, tooling, and practices for frontend development
Technologies You Will Work With
Frontend: TypeScript, React, Sass/CSS
Backend/REST API: Kotlin/JVM, PostgreSQL, AWS (RDS, SQS, Lambda, EC2/EB)
Tooling & Testing: Jest, Cypress, Feature flagging libraries (e.g., LaunchDarkly, Split.io — experience with any is a plus)
While experience with our exact stack is helpful, we care more about your engineering skills and your ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
Experience building high-quality user interfaces with modern frontend frameworks (ideally React)
Strong product sense and an interest in how UX impacts user behavior and product adoption
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams — including Product, Design, and Customer Success
A detail-oriented mindset with a passion for smooth, accessible, and responsive user experiences
Ability to balance speed and quality — shipping thoughtfully, but often
Experience working on onboarding or lifecycle features is a plus, but not required
