1099 Contractor
Duration of Contract: 6 months
Location: Illinois, US - Remote. MUST be based and licensed in the state of Illinois to be considered.
Scope of Work:
Review and notarize loan documents for accuracy and completeness.
Ensure all documents are properly signed with initials, and dated.
Verify the identities of document signers.
Ensure that signers understand the documents or arrange for third-party translation when necessary.
Clearly explain documents to buyers and sellers at the closing table.
Exhibit empathy and professionalism, particularly when working with sensitive documents or vulnerable clients.
Ensure the timely return of signed documents to the title company.
Confirm that all required signatures and initials are obtained.
Operate office equipment such as scanners and printers.
Maintain detailed records and ensure all documents are in order.
Strong understanding of title insurance and real estate documents.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Valid Notary License is required.
Proficient in using computer systems and Google Workplace tools.
