Mobile Apps Developer

As a Senior mobile developer, your expertise will set the benchmark of quality coding, engineering leadership and mobile solution outcomes. Your development expertise will directly contribute to some of the world's leading enterprise applications and systems, enabling critical processes, intelligent operations and innovative services to serve end users & stakeholders to the highest standards.

This is an opportunity to be working closely with one of the senior team members; look after all the BAU modifications and bug fixes in the in the mobility application; this person will be working closely with senior dev.

Responsibilities

    • Main project: applications have been developed using Xamarin, with plans to transition to MAUI, the technology that replaced Xamarin. The application is written in Xamarin Forms and utilised on the road in trucks for pickups and deliveries of goods and also within warehouses on different devices for everything related to receipting, storing and dispatching of goods.
    • The backend is supported by APIs (.Net Core) written in C#.
    • The ideal candidate should have a portfolio of Xamarin Forms applications and possess strong skills in migrating between Xamarin and MAUI
    • Oversee technical activities of development, including design, quoting, development, and implementation of system changes
    • Modifications tailored to customers
    • Identify and resolve application bottlenecks and bugs, e.g.:
    • Bugs with new features
    • Device issues to solve (dev is provided with dedicated devices for testing purposes)
    • Refactoring some of the code
    • Collaborate with others to provide technical direction and standards across the board and support a culture of continuous improvement
    • Design and develop high-quality mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms, leveraging Xamarin and MAUI, plus ideally, you'll have experience in SQL
    • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement user-friendly designs
    • Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness
    • Integrate mobile applications with back-end services via RESTful APIs
    • Stay up to date with new technology trends in mobile development
    • Guide less experienced staff by reviewing their work and providing feedback to build team capability

To be successful in this role, you will have:

    • DESIRED: Systems/Software
    • Mobility-focused with skills in:
    • Xamarin
    • MAUI
    • .NET Core (for API Backend)
    • C#
    • SQL Server backend knowledge
    • Visual Studio
    • Strong knowledge of version control systems (GIT preferred).

    • EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
    • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a lead mobile application development role, with MAUI and Xamarin, ideally with an industry background in ERP supply chain management and logistics software.
    • Strong troubleshooting skills: strategic problem solver.
    • Ability to work autonomously and within the team.
    • Time-Conscious and Proactive: meet deadlines effectively.
    • Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
    • Good culture fit – high frequency of communication, ability to follow processes.
    • Fast Learner: Quickly grasp new concepts and excel with minimal oversight.
