About The Role: 

The Marketing Operations Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of creative projects within CALSTART’s Marketing and Communications team. This role is responsible for managing multiple projects, coordinating with internal teams and external partners, and ensuring all deliverables meet the highest creative standards while aligning with CALSTART’s mission. The ideal candidate is highly organized, solutions-oriented, and able to manage workflows to deliver impactful marketing and communications initiatives on time and within budget. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Lead the end-to-end project management of creative projects, including campaigns, content creation, branding, and digital media.  
    • Develop and manage detailed project timelines, ensuring key milestones and deliverables are met.  
    • Track progress, address issues, and proactively identify solutions to keep projects on schedule and within scope.  
    • Collaborate with the Deputy Directors of Marketing and stakeholders to prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively.  
    • Drive clarity and transparency for program work; create effective tracking systems and processes that scale with the rest of the marketing organization  
    • Manage marketing team tools and streamline processes for marketing operations 

Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Project Management, or a related field. 
    • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience managing creative projects within a marketing or communications environment.  
    • Strong understanding of creative development processes and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.  
    • Experience using project management tools (e.g., Monday.com, Notion) and proven success in optimizing workflows.  
    • Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.  
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.  
    • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality creative work on time and within budget.  

Desired Qualifications:

    • Experience in the non-profit, mission driven, and/or clean energy, transportation, or sustainability sector.  
    • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and techniques.  
    • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and external vendors. 
$72,000 - $85,760 a year
CALSTART values transparency and strives to provide as much information regarding compensation as possible. The complete salary range for this role is  $72,000 - $85,760. We determine pay based on several factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, qualifications, experience, education, internal equity and other factors relevant to the job
