Market Development Director - APAC

The Opportunity That Awaits You:    
Reporting to the EVP, Technology and Clinical Development and dotted line to VP & GM, International, the Market Development Director - APAC is responsible for the market development in China and ad hoc responsibilities in other APAC markets. Additionally, the initial introduction of Aquablation for prostate cancer will be included in the job role. Lastly, commercial tasks will be given based on needs of the business for the region. 

What Your Day-To-Day Will Involve:

    • Formulate and execute a high-impact sales strategy for increased placements of the AQUABEAM Robotic System, collaborating with senior leadership and providing strategic content for sales meetings in China.
    • Support regulatory, reimbursement, and legal matters in the region.
    • Support Direct and distributor Teams to launch new accounts and expand existing programs for sustainable growth.
    • Provide regular updates on competition, product use, clinical updates, and key business metrics to the organization.
    • Work with International Marketing on strategic planning and annual operating plan.
    • Cultivate positive relationships throughout PROCEPT BioRobotics, ensuring consistent communication and collaboration with key stakeholders.
    • Maintains trained status for, and complies with, all relevant aspects of the PROCEPT BioRobotics Quality Management System to ensure regulatory compliance.
    • Understands and adheres to the PROCEPT BioRobotics Quality & EHS Policies

The Qualifications We Need You to Possess

    • Bachelor’s degree – four-year degree from accredited reputable institution
    • Start-up company experience selling game changing technology.
    • A minimum of 5+ years of experience with sales management, and/or training or marketing organization is required.
    • High level of technical/clinical product knowledge
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks.
    • Must have proven track record of participation leading/teaching at organizational meetings. Prior people management experience is not required, but extensive mentoring by experienced manager would be recommended if not.
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as a cross functional team member is required.
    • Excellent presentation (platform) skills are required.
    • Proven ability to be a self-starter and goal oriented is required.
    • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills are required.
    • Must thrive in complex environment and be able to multi-task and prioritize.
    • Strong local relationships within the healthcare community in specified geographic area.
    • Leadership skills as demonstrated through past professional performance in the medical device arena, and involvement in sports, professional clubs or associations.
    • Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
    • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Level of competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from other internal groups, clients, customers, and the public.
    • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
