Why is this role important to Field Nation?
The Manager, Business Development is a critical part of the demand generation function, responsible for qualifying right-fit accounts, driving pipeline growth, and generating revenue by leading a high-performing team of business development representatives (BDRs). As a core member of the Revenue Marketing team, this role ensures the seamless execution of demand-generation strategies by aligning marketing efforts with sales outcomes.
This role requires a leader with a proven track record of managing teams to deliver measurable results. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in optimizing BDR workflows, tracking key performance metrics, and driving team performance to achieve ambitious pipeline and revenue goals. A data-driven mindset is essential, with a focus on key metrics—including touchpoints, conversion rates, opportunity creation, and pipeline growth—to refine strategies and drive team effectiveness.

Other factors we consider in setting the specific pay for an individual will generally include, among other things, experience, specialized skills, work location, and internal equity to provide competitive offers. Additionally, every role is eligible for variable pay dependent on the position. As an agile and growing organization, the business needs may change. This may result in us hiring someone with less or more experience than the job description states. Base Salary Range | Minnesota or other Zone 3 | $86,000 - $100,000
On-Target Earnings Range Begin At | Minnesota or other Zone 3 (similar metros in the US) | $126,000 - $140,000/year
On Target Earnings ("OTE") range includes the base salary and sales commission pay based on expected performance targets.
