The Maintenance Manager (Central) provides project management and maintenance support for Highland’s asset management objectives. The manager provides direct oversight of maintenance activities requiring expertise in administering internal and external maintenance schemes for electric vehicles and chargers.

Further, this position will assist in global initiatives including project management, equipment allocation, standard operating procedure development, best practice implementation, equipment specifications standardization, and auditing.

With Highland facing significant growth, the position must be willing to adapt to different geographical areas requiring management of staff and vendors, while supporting the proliferation of long-term maintenance strategy.
 

Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement Highland’s regional bus and charger support plans for all Highland’s project portfolio, owning direct maintenance budget responsibilities over a multitude of designated deployments
    • Direct and control the company’s fleet and maintenance activities while ensuring compliance with contract standards, service level agreements, OEM manuals and all local, state, and federal requirements
    • Utilize understanding of dealer service operations to effectively manage service relationships and service level agreements set forth by Highland
    • Work closely with customer’s maintenance teams and dealers to ensure maintenance standards, suggested inventory levels, and effective warranty management are upheld
    • Accountable for asset availability and make appropriate repair decisions to maximize asset uptime and minimize total cost of ownership
    • Apply maintenance KPI metric reporting such as PM compliance, Labor Utilization, and CPMs to drive overall uptime and reduce operational cost
    • Supervise Highland’s Technician teams to achieve company’s reliability, project delivery and quality
    • Assist in development and implementation of maintenance quality initiatives and influence operating procedures
    • Perform and advance Highland's quality inspection and audit programs to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
    • Assist with development of performance goals for maintenance personnel and creating and implementing action plans to achieve those goals
    • Ensure staff is properly equipped and trained regarding tooling and PPE to perform necessary repairs
    • Leverage historical P&L understanding to assist with regional maintenance forecasting and budgeting, and development of maintenance underwriting models

Qualifications:

    • ASE Master Designation or Rectifiable
    • 5 years maintenance management experience, preferably in a multi-site environment
    • 5 years of fleet Supervisor experience in a Diesel Shop with Medium to Heavy duty fleets
    • Basic understanding of electric vehicle maintenance requirements
    • Experience managing vendors and service level agreements
    • Electric vehicle or charger repair experience preferred
    • Experience with local applicable DOT compliance of Medium to Heavy duty fleet
    • Must be computer proficient and have experience with computerized diagnostics
    • Experience with maintenance budgeting
    • Experience with Microsoft office products, Telematics, and Enterprise Asset Management software
$125,000 - $135,000 a year
