BoostDraft is seeking a VP of Sales to help drive revenue growth in the U.S. market. This is an exciting time to join our team as we near the completion of our product-market fit process and prepare to scale our business in the U.S.

About BoostDraft

BoostDraft is a software engineering company that develops the AI-assisted legal document editor that drastically changes the legal drafting world, eliminating overlooked inefficiencies.

The company was founded two years ago by MIT and Stanford grad students, starting with the Japanese market. Within two years, we have grown to more than 7,500 paid users, without any marketing. 17 of the top 20 largest law firms in Japan are using our software. Most of users are coming from word of mouth, without marketing. We have several long-term, large-scale contracts with famed enterprises and law firms. As a result, we have been highly profitable from Day 1 and have experienced exponential growth without outside funding at all.

Now we are entering the US market. Although we see some differences between the Japanese market and the US market, the reaction from US legal professionals has been really great, saying BoostDraft is game changing. This position is reporting to Head of Enterprise Sales, leveraging your entrepreneurial spirit to establish and lead our business in the United States.

As we expand into the US market, we've received encouraging feedback from American legal professionals. Nonetheless, it's important to acknowledge that there are nuanced differences between the Japanese and US markets that we're navigating. While we have gradually and steadily expanded our presence in the US without investing in marketing thus far, we're now ready to elevate our efforts to the next level. To achieve this, we are seeking an experienced sales professional who excels at building high-performing sales teams while also contributing directly to revenue generation

What you will do:

As the VP of Sales at BoostDraft,  

  • Lead and manage a team of Account Executives, ensuring they meet individual and team performance goals.
  • Leverage CRM tools like HubSpot to track sales activities, analyze performance, and maintain up-to-date pipeline management
  • Develop quarterly sales goals for the team, aligned with company objectives
  • Create a framework for setting individual and team sales targets that are both ambitious and achievable
  • Monitor and evaluate each team member’s sales attainment, identifying areas for improvement and success
  • Design and implement a comprehensive sales strategy tailored to the U.S. market
  • Lead efforts to recruit, onboard, and train junior sales professionals to build a high-performing sales team

We also expect VP of Sales to:

  • Identify potential clients in law firms and corporate legal departments
  • Use various sales tools (ZoomInfo, Apollo, etc.) and initiate contact with prospects through cold calling, emailing, networking events, and SNS
  • Conduct sales meetings and manage the end-to-end sales process
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, leads, and opportunities in CRM and effectively follow up the leads saved in the pipeline

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in team leadership and people management
  • At least 7 years of experience in one of the following:
    • End-to-end enterprise software sales
    • Legal tech sales
    • Selling to law firms
  • Extensive experience in designing sales attainment targets for both teams and individual members
  • Proven ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies
  • Strong track record in lead generation and cold outreach
  • Expertise in managing sales pipelines and consistently meeting or exceeding targets

Nice to have -

  • Channel partnerships experience
  • Proficiency with sales tools like ZoomInfo, Apollo, or similar platforms
  • Experience in building and managing channel partnerships
  • Familiarity with the legal tech sector or experience working with law firms

Interview Process:

  1. Introductory call with a recruiter (15 - 30 minutes)
  2. 1st Interview with the Head of Enterprise Sales (30 - 60 minutes)
  3. Take-Home Project (1 week)
  4. 2nd Interview with the Head of Enterprise Sales (30 - 60 minutes)
  5. 3rd Interview with the CEO (30 - 60 minutes)

Compensation Package:
