Salary range: $21.64 - $30.30 per hour.
Job Description
The Home Equity Loan Processor I is responsible for ensuring proper documentation is disclosed, ordered, collected, and verified in order to disburse funds for consumer fixed home equity loans and home equity lines of credit while adhering to STCU’s loan standards and Federal regulations.
Core Job Requirements/Outcomes
- Partner with loan officers in processing of loan application by creating electronic or mail disclosure document packets, ordering proper products while maintaining strong communication with loan officers.
- Prepare loan packet for closing by ensuring product documentation has been properly reviewed, approval authority has been met, and any additional documentation has been obtained within a timely manner.
- Consistently perform job duties with little to no supervision by producing quality work with minimal errors.
Other Essential Functions
- Assist loan officers, members, vendors, etc. with inquiries by ensuring a timely response.
- Provide operational support to the Lending Center by building member relationships and focusing on the strategic goals of the department and organization.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a diverse work group, as well as independently with minimal supervision. Ability to adapt to changes, solve practical problems and handle a variety of situations exercising flexibility and sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Job Experience: Preferred one-year experience in consumer loan and/or mortgage loan processing/documentation and/or origination. One year working at STCU in lieu of experience required.
Software Skills: Proficient knowledge of MS Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams. LoansPQ experience preferred
Physical Demands: Must be able to regularly talk, hear and operate a computer, keyboard and mouse and occasionally lift, pull/push and carry up to 10 pounds with accommodations.
Work Conditions: Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds at a low or moderate level consistent with an office setting. Exposure to high-stress, fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
