We're hiring a Head of Growth Marketing to join our rapidly growing startup in the employer benefits space. This role will be a dynamic, high-impact position reporting directly to the CEO, Jaclyn Chen.
The functional North Star of this role is to create qualified pipeline for the go-to-market team at Benepass to attain the company’s topline growth goals, including:
Own demand generation, including email, content, events, paid, direct mail, SEO, and other channels
Manage a million dollar + marketing budget
Lead and grow a high performing team that can deliver the company’s pipeline generation goals
As a leader on the go-to-market team, this person will:
Strategically build and refine a demand generation machine that drives increasingly higher ROI from the marketing budget and team
Be deeply analytical and experimental to increase efficiency and scale of existing channels and find new channels
Collaborate with other revenue teams, including Sales and Strategic Alliances
Sales: consistent feedback loop on qualified pipeline with account executives and creating an effective, efficient hand-off process
Strategic Alliances: deep understanding of channel marketing and how to drive pipeline from brokers and consultants
Increase understanding Benepass’ ICP and personas and how to effectively reach them
This role will also join the executive team of Benepass and will have the highest leadership visibility and responsibility across the company, including:
Executive reporting on on pipeline goals to other executives at Benepass and Board members
Creating a performance culture
Creating an environment aligned to the Benepass values
While this role is primarily focused on demand generation within marketing, an exceptional candidate will merit the opportunity to grow their position into other areas of marketing and increase their ownership and influence within the go-to-market and executive teams.

8+ years of experience in demand generation marketing in B2B
Experience with Employee benefits strongly preferred
Experience with direct marketing and channel marketing
Proven track record of driving qualified pipeline that converts to revenue
Proven track record of owning a high ROI marketing budget
Proven track record of scaling and managing a high performing team, including managers
Early stage start-up experience (<100 people)
Excellent communication skills to multiple audiences
Experience managing a team of BDRs
Experience with US healthcare, insurance brokers/consultants, and/or fintech
Proven success with all of our current marketing channels (though we would like to understand where you have found prior success)
Experience as a leader at a startup with CEO and Board interaction
Quarterly leadership meetings
Company-wide on-site events three times per year
Certain marketing events held throughout the year
This is a hybrid role. As a leader of the company, you will be expected in-person throughout the year at our hubs in New York City, Oakland, and Salt Lake City.
All else equal, preference will be given to candidates based in the San Francisco Bay Area who can go into the Oakland office 3x per week.
Base salary of $190,000 to $210,000 + target variable + equity.
Range(s) is subject to change. Benepass takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including market comparables, interview performance, peer compensation, and years of experience.
