Front End Developer

Job Summary

We are a venture-backed startup developing next-generation orchestration software for autonomous systems. Our platform enables the complex coordination of multi-domain robotic systems with applications in defense and commercial sectors.

We are seeking a creative and technically skilled Front End Developer to join our team in a contract-to-hire capacity. The ideal candidate will combine strong React and TypeScript expertise with experience in modern build tools and 3D web technologies.  This role focuses on creating sophisticated visualization interfaces and control systems for autonomous platforms. The initial contract period is 6 months, with the opportunity for conversion to a full-time position based on performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain sophisticated front-end applications using React, TypeScript, and modern web technologies

• Create high-performance, responsive interfaces for complex data visualizations and user interactions

• Implement 3D visualizations and immersive experiences for robotic system monitoring and control using WebGL and/or related technologies

• Optimize application performance and ensure cross-browser compatibility

• Work closely with designers to accurately translate designs and interactions into code

• Maintain and improve our development workflows and test processes

• Collaborate with backend team to integrate real-time data streams and control systems

• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members

• Stay current with front-end development trends and evaluate new technologies

Required Qualifications

• This position requires the candidate to be a "U.S. Person" as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.15). You must be either:

  • A U.S. citizen

  • A lawful permanent resident (green card holder)

  • A refugee, asylee, or other protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)

• 3+ years of professional front-end development experience

• Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript

• Experience with modern CSS techniques and SCSS/Sass

• Proven experience with build tools such as Webpack, Vite, or similar

• Experience with real-time data visualization or monitoring interfaces

• Strong understanding of web performance optimization techniques

• Expertise in responsive design and cross-browser compatibility

• Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative development

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Portfolio demonstrating front-end development projects

• Experience with WebGL, Three.js, or similar 3D web technologies

• Experience building responsive web applications for mobile, tablet, and desktop

• Knowledge of VR/XR/AR development principles and frameworks

• Experience with state management solutions (Redux, MobX, Zustand)

• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing

• Familiarity with design tools (Figma, Adobe XD)

• Experience with animation libraries and interactive content creation

• Contributions to open-source projects

• Willingness to obtain a U.S. Security clearance

This is a contract-to-hire position with an expected compensation range of $70–$100 per hour, commensurate with your experience, portfolio, and ability to contribute to project success.
