New Opportunity Talented team (Fixed Term Contract)

As the ER Advisor you will be responsible for assisting and guiding Line Managers on how to manage all employee relation matters such as disciplinaries, grievances, appeal and absence management to enable delivery of the HR Strategy and associated people plans.


What will your day look like:

Provide guidance and support to line managers on the correct application of both formal and informal ER matters, including performance management, grievances and absence management.
Assist (e.g. attend disciplinary hearings as management representative) or participate in formal ER matters where appropriate to do so (e.g. undertake investigations and disciplinaries).
Most often however, the expectation is for you to assist and guide line managers through this process.
Provide wider levels of advice and guidance on ER matters addressing issues of morale, employee recognition, employee engagement and communication.
Help prepare, organise and maintain any documentation needed to assist informal or formal ER actions (including updating policies in accordance with Employment Law Changes)
Monitor and report to HRBPs any patterns of concerns which cover morale, behavioural and other ER concerns as identified through your daily transactions with the business areas
Provide KPIs and input into the monthly HRBP reports on ER matters
Assist in change management programmes and restructures when appropriate to do so
Provide cover and assistance where required to other business areas of the firm which require ER assistance
Liaise with the business on generalist ER matters and become involved in HR projects where appropriate to do so.


Knowledge and Abilities:

CIPD qualified or equivalent
Extensive employee relations experience and be highly customer focussed It is desirable (though not essential) for the successful candidate to have experience of working within a professional services environment IT Literate; 
Proficient in MS Office to include Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint
Ideally to have had some experience of using HR/Recruitment systems
