ORGANIZATION SUMMARY

POSITION SUMMARY:
World Relief is seeking a results-oriented Donor Email & Fundraising Specialist with a strong focus on driving fundraising growth. This key role will lead the strategy and execution of donor-centric email marketing campaigns, while also supporting a comprehensive, multi-channel marketing approach—including SMS, peer-to-peer fundraising technology, other digital tools to maximize donor retention, and lifetime value. 

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Donor Email Fundraising Strategy & Execution   
    • Develop and execute compelling, donor-focused email fundraising campaigns—ranging from appeals and newsletters to impact updates and automated journeys   
    • Use HubSpot for email marketing, automation, customer segmentation, list and workflow creation and management. 
    • Manage production process of email campaigns, including design, HTML editing, list segmentation, QA, scheduling, and deployment   
    • Execute donor email and SMS strategy for Annual Fund communications during times of disaster response.   

    • Donor Journey & Lifecycle   
    • Create targeted email series that support the donor lifecycle—from onboarding to retention, pipeline moves, re-engagement and drive monthly giving conversion.   
    • Collaborate with the Donor Fundraising team to segment audiences based on giving history, interests, and engagement behaviors.   
    • Identify opportunities to personalize content and messaging that deepens donor relationships, builds a healthy donor pipeline and increases lifetime value.   
    • Assist in driving fundraising campaigns and donor engagement using Classy.   
    • Leverage Hustle for SMS campaign creation, delivery, data analytics.   
    • Develop Thankview strategy to maximize donor engagement and revenue growth.   

    • Donor Data & Performance Analysis   
    • Implement A/B testing strategies to continuously improve subject lines, send times, content layout, and calls-to-action   
    • Analyze campaign results to continuously improve performance through data-driven insights, with a focus on donor engagement, conversion, and retention.   
    • Maintain compliance with email best practices and legal regulations (e.g., CAN-SPAM, GDPR) and World Relief’s brand guidelines.   
    • Collaborate with the Database Management and Digital Marketing teams to ensure accurate donor segmentation and maintain clean, up-to-date contact lists.   
    • Provide monthly reporting and actionable insights to stakeholders across the department.   
    • Maintain donor email calendar in coordination with broader fundraising goals and campaigns   

    • Collaboration & Donor Digital Strategy:   
    • Integrate direct mail print campaigns with other digital fundraising channels such as email, SMS, social media ads and landing pages   
    • Work closely with leads to support segmented fundraising goals through digital channels.   
    • Stay up to date on email marketing trends, tools, and strategies to drive innovation and effectiveness.   
    • Attend in-person and virtual meetings in collaboration with members of the Annual Fund and Strategic Engagement Department.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Mature and personal Christian faith
    • Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief
    • Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
    • Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation document
    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.    
    • 3+ years competency in HubSpot and Raiser’s Edge or similar software    
    • Strong understanding of email best practices, segmentation, and analytics   
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; attention to detail and ability to execute well    
    • Ability to write logically, clearly and concisely    
    • Excellent analytical/problem-solving skills and detail orientation    
    • Ability to work effectively both as a team member and independently    
    • Ability to capture and organize complex information    
    • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint    
    • Flexibility and ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 3+ years proficiency with HubSpot   
    • 3+ years of experience in fundraising with a strong emphasis on donor email marketing   
    • Experience with a donor engagement and fundraising tech stack using HubSpot, Raiser’s Edge, Luminate Online, Thankview, Hustle, Canva, Double the Donation, or similar platforms. 
$65,000 - $70,000 a year
