Director of Member Acquisition and Growth
In this role, you will lead Natcast's membership sales efforts, building and managing a high-performing sales team responsible for landing and expanding relationships with member prospects across strategic accounts, enterprise accounts, the academic/research community, and semiconductor startups. You will play a pivotal role in driving Natcast's growth and impact in the semiconductor industry.
Every day, you will develop and execute strategies to meet and exceed membership revenue quotas, foster relationships with key industry players, and ensure Natcast's value proposition resonates with potential members. Your leadership will be crucial in establishing and optimizing sales processes, methodologies, and systems that support Natcast's mission of advancing U.S. leadership in semiconductor design and manufacturing.
To thrive in this role, you must be a seasoned sales leader with a proven track record of building and scaling successful sales organizations. You should have a deep understanding of the semiconductor industry or related technical fields, coupled with expertise in subscription-based sales models. The Director of Member Acquisition and Growth plays a critical role in Natcast's success by ensuring we attract and retain a diverse and influential membership base that drives collaboration, innovation, and progress in the semiconductor ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing sales team focused on member acquisition and growth for the National Semiconductor Technology Center industry consortium
Develop and implement sales strategies to meet quarterly and annual membership revenue goals
Leverage a “Land and Expand” approach to facilitate broader member relationships as the NSTC value proposition evolves
Establish and optimize sales methodologies, metrics, quota management, and forecasting processes
Establish Sales methodology, inform sales systems selection & implementation, including CRM implementation and pipeline management tools
Design and implement effective sales compensation plans to drive performance and retention
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine Natcast's value proposition and develop compelling sales materials
Cultivate and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in the semiconductor industry, academia, and government
Develop strategies for targeting and acquiring members across different segments: strategic accounts, enterprise accounts, academic/research institutions, and semiconductor startups
Work closely with the membership operations team to ensure smooth onboarding and retention of new members
Provide regular reports and insights to leadership on sales performance, market trends, and growth opportunities
Represent Natcast at industry events and conferences to promote membership and build relationships
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
10+ years of experience in sales leadership roles, with a proven track record of building and scaling sales organizations
Ability engage with senior business leaders at large semiconductor organizations and highlight the value that NSTC can bring to their research and development efforts as well as their customer acquisition efforts
Strong understanding of the semiconductor industry and ecosystem
Experience with subscription-based or SaaS sales models
Proven ability to meet and exceed revenue targets consistently
Expertise in sales methodologies, pipeline management, and forecasting
Experience implementing and managing CRM systems and sales technologies
Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and develop sales talent
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex value propositions to diverse audiences
Strategic thinking and analytical skills to drive data-informed decision-making
Ability to travel extensively (30%+) to meet the needs of the position
Preferred Qualifications:
Deep network and relationships within the semiconductor industry
Experience with Subscription or SaaS Sales models and cycles
Experience in selling to or partnering with academic and research institutions
Knowledge of government contracting and/or public-private partnerships
Experience in a startup or high-growth environment
Track record of successful collaboration with technical teams to drive sales in a complex, innovative environment
