Veriforce is looking for a Director of FP&A to play a key role in scaling our organization during a period of rapid growth and preparing for future M&A activities. The Director will oversee a team of financial analysts, lead the reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes company-wide, and act as a trusted advisor to the CFO and senior leadership.
The ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience in FP&A leadership roles and 12+ years in finance or FP&A, with demonstrated success in elevating FP&A functions to higher levels of performance. The Director must bring deep expertise in driving FP&A initiatives for Private Equity-owned software companies, with a focus on recurring revenue models and M&A support.
Position Overview:

To thrive as the Director of FP&A, you should have a strong track record in financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting, coupled with excellent leadership and communication skills. This role requires a strategic thinker who can navigate detailed financial data while understanding the broader business context.
The right candidate will possess advanced technical skills (Excel, PowerPoint, financial systems), proven leadership abilities, and experience implementing best practices to evolve FP&A capabilities. You’ll work with sensitive data, deliver actionable insights, and provide strategic recommendations that drive data-driven decisions.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide financial leadership and mentorship to a team of Financial Analysts, fostering development and engagement.
- Understand and communicate key business drivers, translating data into actionable intelligence.
- Identify, develop, and implement best-in-class practices to enhance FP&A processes and reporting, including automation initiatives.
- Deliver timely, accurate financial and operational intelligence, focusing on trends, forecasts, and actionable plans to support business growth.
- Oversee the preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance reporting and analyses.
- Lead the development of presentations and materials for Board of Directors meetings.
- Drive the annual budget and multi-year financial strategic planning processes.
- Monitor and report on business performance versus forecast and budget, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Support strategic initiatives, including business model evaluations, partnership analyses, and ad-hoc projects.
- Assist in financial modeling and due diligence for M&A activities.
- Maintain technical expertise and a commitment to continuous learning.
Required Skills:
- 8+ years of relevant experience in FP&A leadership roles; 12+ years of overall FP&A or finance experience.
- Proven track record of managing FP&A functions in Private Equity-owned software companies with recurring revenue models.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; advanced degree or certification (e.g., CFA, CPA, MBA) is a plus.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, NetSuite, and related financial systems.
- Experience with custom databases and synthesizing data from multiple sources.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Prior experience with international companies and supporting M&A activities, including integrations.
- Intellectual curiosity, adaptability, and a drive for continuous improvement.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
