About the Role
The RCO SME role reports directly to our Head of Deployment, Customer Engagement and you’ll work closely with customers and our product organization to develop CDI specific deliverables. This role participates in prospect and customer calls to assist in scope development and works closely with internal resources to align on product deliverables as well as execute against deployment milestones and timelines.
AKASA is based in South San Francisco. As a company, we embraced remote work before COVID-19. We consider ourselves experts in working collaboratively wherever our team members happen to reside within the US.
What You'll Do
Work cross-functionally across Sales, Marketing, and Engineering to deepen the revenue cycle expertise within the company
Manage and assist with (when needed) product validation by coding, auditing and reviewing clinical charts.
Process Mapping and shadowing with clients to understand workflows
Develop Revenue Cycle training specification documents
Work with Project Managers to develop and execute against timelines and deliverables
Conduct discovery and research discussions for new product development both with internal teams and client partners
Interface with the RCO team to complete client Proof of Concept exercises, Spec Validations
Manage resources assigned for project-related work
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management or similar field and/or relevant experience
10+ years experience as a leader in Coding and/ CDI departments within the revenue cycle or worked in a consulting or project management capacity
Must have EHR, CAC and other coding tool experience, preferably multiple systems
Concurrent and retrospective CDI review experience and experience in both in patient and out patient settings required
QA / documentation/training experience
Strong analytical and project management skills
Current credentials from AHIMA, AAPC, or ACDIS
Must have RN and CCDS

Compensation
Based on market data and other factors, the salary range for this position is $170,000-200,000 + Equity. However, a salary higher or lower than this range may be appropriate for a candidate whose qualifications differ meaningfully from those listed in the job description.
