DevOps Engineer

We're looking for a very experienced DevOps Engineer with a lot of experience in building infrastructures completely from scratch. The important aspect is that the infrastructure is bare metal (not in the Cloud).

REQUIREMENTS

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer who:

  • Has 7+ Years of experience in DevOps;
  • Experienced with bare metal infrastructure;
  • Strong knowledge of Networking: network topologies and common network protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP(S), SSH, SMTP, IPMI, L2/L3 layers);
  • Strong knowledge and experience with solutions based on Linux systems and Cloud solutions (AWS as plus);
  • Has a strong understanding of Microservice Architecture;
  • Experience with automatic deployment tools such as Ansible, Terraform;
  • Has experience with Git, GitLab, Kubernetes, Helm, Docker Swarm, Traefik;
  • Has a strong understanding of the Security of systems and data;
  • Has strong knowledge of MySQL;
  • Good knowledge of message broker tools such as Kafka and ClickHouse;
  • Has a strong understanding of the PHP stack;
  • Robust scripting skills such as: Shell (Bash) and Python;
  • Has experience with ELK Stack;
  • Demonstrates SSL, and TLS experience;

Would be a plus:

  • Experience being an independent consultant for the infrastructure-building process

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a DevOps Engineer, you will:

  • Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure;
  • Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developers;
  • Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes;
  • Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results;
  • Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats;
  • Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and ‘fixes’;
  • ​Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended;
  • ​Planning out projects and being involved in project management decisions;
  • Implementing IaC (Infrastructure as Code);
  • Supporting development teams in delivering objectives;
  • Practicing a DevOps culture of automation;
  • Researching, experimenting, and utilizing leading cloud methodologies and new tools for increased productivity, security, reliability, and performance;
  • Providing proficient documentation and operating guidance.

Kindgeek team has conducted the Infrastructure Audit for this project. This Infrastructure Audit provides a vision of Infrastructure upgrades and improvements, guidance and mentoring on new Infrastructure implementation and migration processes.
