As a Demo Engineer at Atlan, you play a crucial role in showcasing the power and versatility of our data governance platform to potential clients. You are the backbone of our sales and marketing efforts, ensuring that our demo environments are always top-notch, up-to-date, and tailored to meet the unique needs of our audience. By managing and enhancing our demo and sandbox environments, you enable our teams to effectively demonstrate Atlan’s capabilities, driving customer engagement and accelerating our growth.

Your mission at Atlan ⭐️

  • As a Demo Engineer, your mission is to create, maintain, and optimize our demo environments to provide seamless and impactful demonstrations of Atlan’s platform. You will:

  • Manage Demo Environments: Oversee the administration and maintenance of all Atlan demo environments to ensure they run smoothly and reliably.

  • Create Sandbox Environments: Develop and manage sandbox environments tailored to specific client needs and demonstration scenarios.

  • Automate Asset Creation: Design and implement automation scripts and tools to efficiently curate sandbox environments.

  • Integrate New Features: Collaborate with the development/product teams to ensure that new features are integrated into demo environments promptly and are ready for showcasing.

  • Curate and Enrich Environments: Populate demo environments with relevant assets, datasets, and configurations to create engaging and informative demonstrations.

  • Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to understand demo requirements and customize environments to meet specific objectives.

  • Maintain Documentation: Create and update comprehensive documentation for demo environment setups, configurations, and automation processes.

  • Troubleshoot Issues: Provide technical support for demo environments, quickly resolving any issues to minimize downtime and ensure seamless presentations.

  • Continuously Improve: Identify opportunities to enhance demo environments and processes, implementing best practices and innovative solutions to increase efficiency and effectiveness.


What makes you a match for us? 😍

  • Technical Expertise: Proven experience managing and administering demo or sandbox environments, with a strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

  • Automation Skills: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Java.

  • Feature Integration: Ability to work closely with development and product teams to integrate new features into demo environments, ensuring they are demonstration-ready.

  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to swiftly resolve technical issues to maintain the integrity of demo environments.

  • Collaboration and Communication: Strong communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, understand their needs, and translate them into technical solutions.

  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in curating demo environments, ensuring that every asset and configuration enhances the demonstration experience.

  • Continuous Learner: Eager to stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices to continuously improve demo environments and processes.

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Experience with Atlan or similar data governance platforms.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).

  • Knowledge of UI/UX principles to enhance demo presentations.

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role or supporting sales teams.

  • Understanding of data security and compliance best practices.
