A successful Data Platform Engineer will drive impactful results and be held accountable for their contributions. We need someone who can take on complex challenges with determination and continuously raise the bar for yourself and your team. This role requires you to base decisions on system data and evidence, not opinions, ensuring prioritization and design decisions are grounded in data. We are looking for you to bring enthusiasm and energy to your work, motivating yourself and those around you.

This role is 100% remote.

    • In order to qualify for remote work, candidates need to reside or be willing to move to Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington, or Wyoming.

How you will achieve success:

    • Develop a deep understanding of the company's data landscape and how it supports insights and decision-making processes.
    • Collaborate with other data engineers to build scalable, end-to-end ETL pipelines and robust data warehouse structures that align with growth expectations.
    • Demonstrate pride in your work by continuously improving the systems you build and support, making them more valuable to the business.
    • Foster excellent relationships with team members and stakeholders to develop solutions that meet business needs.

What experience will help you in this role:

    • 2+ years of experience in data warehouse modeling, design, and development. In-depth knowledge of data warehouse design philosophies, including star schema, snowflake schema, and medallion architecture.
    • Advanced SQL development skills, including proficiency in creating stored procedures, views, and functions, with a strong command of SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio) and proficiency in Python for complex data transformations and integrating cloud services.
    • Proven experience working with on-premises, hybrid, and cloud-based analytical solutions, with a strong emphasis on Snowflake and experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms, specifically in data engineering. Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as SSIS, DataStage, or Informatica, alongside a solid understanding of OLAP tools.
    • Familiarity with DataOps and automation practices, including CI/CD pipelines for data, version control (Git), and automated testing strategies.
    • Strong performance optimization skills, with experience tuning SQL queries and optimizing data models for efficiency and solid business acumen, particularly in Finance or eCommerce, with the ability to align technical solutions with business goals.
