We’re looking for a Data Operations Manager to support the Senior Director of Operations in overseeing and reporting on data from the core operational systems that power Thunder. This role will have high visibility and is expected to approach internal projects analytically while maintaining Thunder’s suite of reports and BI tools.

Role + Responsibilities

  • Sales and Delivery Ops: Design, build, manage, and optimize operations reports and dashboards in Salesforce and Domo.
  • Deliver valuable insights on sales performance, trends, and forecasts, and improve operational efficiency and delivery metrics.
  • Translate messy or incomplete data into clear, actionable visuals and recommendations.
  • Own the backlog of requested dashboards and reporting asks, triaging and executing as needed
  • Financial Ops: Support Thunder’s finance team in producing monthly flash and management reports, offering quick insights for agile decision making.
  • Executive-Level Reporting: Support the Sr. Director of Operations in developing and maintaining high-quality executive reports that will aid in leadership decision-making (ie presenting to Thunder’s CEO and additional leaders).
  • Balance fast-paced requests with thoughtful data storytelling—pivoting quickly without sacrificing accuracy
  • Analysis & Insights: Provide analysis on Thunder’s metrics and assess impact on overall performance through data trends.
  • Analyze staffing, utilization, revenue, and margin data to surface insights and influence business outcomes
  • KPI Alignment & Definitions: Work across departments as an advisor, improving Thunder’s definitions of key performance indicators (KPIs), establishing new KPIs where necessary, and drive total alignment/adoption for consistency and clarity across the organization.
  • Work cross-functionally with leadership to understand business needs and respond with on-demand solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6-8+ years in a senior analyst role within business intelligence, data analytics, or data operations.
  • Domo experience strongly preferred: Ideal candidate is Domo-certified or willing to complete Domo training within the first 30–60 days.
  • Strong knowledge of data integration, architecture alignment, and reporting tools, with the ability to balance fast-paced, on-the-fly requests with clear, accurate, and thoughtful data storytelling.
  • Strong expertise in tools like Google Sheets, pivot tables, ETL/data flows, and SQL for ad hoc analysis.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, especially object relationships related to opportunities and forecasting.
  • Ability to grow into full ownership of the Domo platform, managing tactical day-to-day operations, data modeling, and long-term roadmap of the Data Operations team.
  • Experience with KPI development and company adoption or new metrics.
  • Proven ability to provide actionable insights from complex data sets.
  • Excellent communication skills to present findings to leadership in an easily digestible format.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, Finance, or related fields; Master’s degree preferred.
