You will be joining the team that is building Chainlink in this newly created position as a Data Operations Analyst. The Data Operations team is tasked with measuring, managing and mitigating risk and quality across the Chainlink data business. The role is varied, ranging from conducting reviews of risk factors and initiating mitigation steps where necessary, through working with other participants in the Chainlink ecosystem (data providers, node operators) to spreading information and best practices in the blockchain oracle space. You will have exposure across the organization and a lot of opportunities to learn and grow. This role also requires you to be on-call to provide level 2 support during US working hours, including some weekends. Due to this we are looking for candidates within +/- 3 timezones from Central time. We are a fully distributed team and have the tools and benefits to support you in a remote work environment
Proactively monitor and mitigate risks across Chainlink’s portfolio of data products
Support the incident response team as an escalation point for issues that do not follow known patterns.
Maintain and update mission-critical internal datasets that provide the foundation for Chainlink’s data platform
Debug issues based on contextual knowledge of data providers, node operators and Chainlink’s data infrastructure
At least 4 years of experience in a data-driven organization
Available to be part of an on-call rotation schedule providing level 1 incident response
Interest in blockchain ecosystem and decentralized finance
Have a strong respect for security requirements and implications in a blockchain environment
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with dynamic priority evolution
Good foundational knowledge of Python, SQL, JSON and REST APIs.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Experience building data pipelines
Experience working with blockchain data, including using a block explorer and common smart contract tools
Experience with JS and building/interacting with APIs
All roles with Chainlink Labs are global and remote-based. Unless otherwise stated, we ask that you try to overlap some working hours with Eastern Standard Time (EST).
