Athletes Unlimited is looking for a Coordinator, Sports Operations to help in the successful execution of each of our seasons, with primary support of AU Pro Sports (Pro Basketball and Volleyball) and secondary support of Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL). The Coordinator will oversee administrative responsibilities while supporting the operational functions of the Sports Operations team. This position is full-time, remote, and reports to the Senior Director, Sports Operations.

Responsibilities

Practice and Game Day Logistics 

  • Arrange and manage AU Pro Sports staff and athlete travel (flights, hotels/housing, rooming lists, rental cars), and resolve any issues that may arise  
  • Communicate with our Travel Agent (Tzell Travel) to secure all flight needs for athletes and staff during the AU Pro Sports seasons
  • Collaborate with event vendors to develop and deliver seasonal staff guides that help new team members adjust to working in-market

Staff Support Responsibilities

  • Oversee and execute the athlete onboarding process during seasons for arrivals and departures
  • Help manage the Teamworks platform for players, AU staff, contracted staff, and seasonal operations staff
  • Facilitate and document player appearance request process
  • Support the Staff Care Coordinator with various in-market events and responsibilities
  • Assist in recruiting, onboarding, training, scheduling, and monitoring of Seasonal Operations Staff for all seasons, utilizing Teamworks when possible 
  • Assist SVP and Director of Sports Operations with project management and special events as needed
  • Assist with load-in and load-out during seasons in league locations, as needed
  • Communicate and collaborate with staff in AU function areas to bridge sports operations’ and other departments’ needs

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience
  • Team player with a positive and get it done attitude is a must
  • Solid understanding of travel policies and budgets
  • Ability to work across departments and build relationships to help achieve outcomes
  • Effective time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to manage spreadsheets and other databases
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% each season (4 seasons total)
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when needed
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

Benefits

This role is full-time, remote, and is compensated at a range of $45,000 to $50,000 annually. While this is the intended range, the actual compensation may vary based on several factors including but not limited to qualifications, skills, and geographic location of the position. We anticipate the highest end of the range will be reserved for those who exceed the hiring committee’s expectations on all measures of the evaluation process.
