Sodexo is seeking an Compliance Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Infrastructure Scope of Work to join our Operational Readiness team. This position will provide functional infrastructure support across the BAU Systems Workplace Services IFMS contract ensuring that all requirements of the hard services infrastructure offer are implemented, embedded and delivered in a safe, compliant and efficient manner. The role demands a strong focus on stakeholder engagement, management and influence to achieve project outcomes
The position will be offered on a permanent, full-time basis and is based out of the Balcatta office with regular adhoc site travel required as needed.
Within Western Australia, Sodexo is responsible for the operations, maintenance, and refurbishment of non-process infrastructure to clients within the mining and oil & gas sector. Sodexo plays a critical role in ensuring the resource sector can operate by providing quality catering, hospitality, and facilities maintenance services.
Operational Readiness overview:
Operational Readiness is a team of subject matter experts who are heavily involved in delivering projects that enhance the experiences of all our FIFO village residents via operational readiness, village security, fitness, improved social lifestyles and general wellbeing along with ensuring new assets are compliant with all regularity standards and codes.
Job Description
Key responsibilities include:
- Enhancing the efficiency and sustainability of our facilities and infrastructure
- Providing technical advice to internal and external stakeholders on facilities based in remote mining villages and camps
- Being part of a team, whose main role is the professional handover of new assets to the Operations/Facility Maintenance Teams
Responsibilities
- Submission and acceptance of all building compliance documentation by the Sodexo Team. Via a due diligence review of the Transfer Customer Care and Custody documents supplied by the client (TCCC).
- Organization and leadership of joint site visits with FM representatives, HSC, and Operations to audit construction works before handover. Subsequently, we work with our client to address any safety and operational concerns, ensuring Sodexo can maintain the asset to the expected standards without incurring additional costs.
- Leading the mobilization of new assets, ensuring their readiness for operation. Collaborating with Operations and recruitment to source the correct personnel, cleaning and setting up the asset for occupancy, and sourcing branding and equipment for an on-site presence by the go-live date.
- Collaboration with Asset Management to ensure all new assets are included in our asset management system, and creation of all maintenance work orders and maintenance.
- Cooperation with our commercial team to ensure Sodexo stakeholders are satisfied with the new asset. This involves addressing any exceptions noted and implementing a management plan.
- Focused on deploying, adapting and implementing Project Management services for Sodexo Project Team for multiple clients.
- Manage site-based supervisors and contractors.
- Actively contribute to the achievement of Operational Readiness vision and critical priorities, and measure progress against key value drivers.
- Defining project scopes, planning, estimating and managing costs and schedule performance
- Provide support to Clients through the provision of standardised Project Management services (e.g. predictable quality and cost of services)
- Provide support to contract management of deliverable projects.
- Provide consultancy services, expertise and support to clients and segment teams to streamline, standardise and simplify operational activity, and benefit from scale.
- Contribute to an overall improvement in safety through safety walks or similar - reduce incidents and accidents and achieve a zero-accident culture and mindset.
- Providing Operational Readiness Expertise to other Business Units
- Ensure compliance with any reasonable instruction that is given to you by the Operational Readiness Program Manager
Skills & Experiences
- Engineering Degree qualifications in a Civil, Structural, Mechanical or Electrical stream
- Proven experience in managing projects in construction and maintenance environment
- High level of competence of with MS suite of software packages
- Expertise in providing technical support, project support and project management in respect to the delivery of facilities and infrastructure requirements
- Experience of delivering infrastructure, facilities, installation or maintenance projects achieving safety, cost, schedule and quality expectations
- Agility and flexibility to manage changing priorities and unforeseen events
- Ability and confidence to work with a diverse range of stakeholders, and must be able to present to a diverse audience well and produce well written reports/assessments
- Ability to build rapport with the other parties to foster positive and productive relationships.
- Ability to coordinate and manage multiple internal and external resources to deliver projects
- Proven construction and maintenance industry experience will be well required.

Job Description
Sodexo Operational Readiness Team are looking for an Facility Management Technical SME.
The candidate must have a high level of experience and technical knowledge across facilities based in remote areas, Mining Villages, etc.
The candidate would need to have good to excellent computer analysis and presentation skills, ability to review and understand construction drawings, be able to produce well written reports/assessments.
The role requires extensive stakeholder engagement across multiple Sodexo departments/ external clients at varying levels.
This role whilst Perth based entails regular travel to the Pilbara and other remote areas on an adhoc basis, though not rostered.
