Community Manager
Flow is a layer one blockchain designed from the ground up as a platform for a new generation of Web3 apps, games, and the digital assets that power them. Flow is home today to millions of users and apps from top tier creators including Cryptoys, and Dapper Labs (NBA, NFL, Disney) as well as industry leaders such as Mattel (Barbie, Hot Wheels), LiveNation / Ticketmaster, and many more.
We are seeking a passionate and proactive Community Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be the face and voice of our community, managing engagement across our Discord channel, Twitter, and other social media platforms. You will play a critical role in building, nurturing, and growing our global community, ensuring alignment with our mission and goals.
What we will accomplish together:
- Community Engagement: Actively manage and moderate the Discord channel to ensure a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere. Respond to community inquiries, comments, and feedback in a timely and professional manner. Organize and host community events such as AMAs, webinars, and discussions to promote engagement.
- Social Media Management: Develop and execute strategies to grow and engage our audience on Twitter and other key social media platforms. Create, curate, and schedule content, including announcements, updates, and educational materials. Monitor social media metrics and report on performance, providing actionable insights.
- Content Creation: Collaborate with internal teams to produce engaging and informative content tailored to the community’s interests. Draft blog posts, newsletters, and other materials to keep the community informed and excited about developments.
- Community Advocacy: Act as the voice of the community, relaying feedback, concerns, and ideas to internal teams. Build relationships with key community members, influencers, and advocates to amplify our reach.
- Growth & Strategy: Implement initiatives to grow the community and maintain high engagement levels. Identify trends and opportunities within the blockchain space to align community-building efforts.
- Crisis Management: Address and manage any potential issues, conflicts, or misinformation within the community with professionalism and tact.
About you:
- Proven experience managing online communities, particularly within the blockchain, cryptocurrency, web3 or tech space.
- Strong knowledge of Discord, Twitter, and other social media platforms.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create engaging content tailored to diverse audiences.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote environment.
- Experience with data analytics and tools to track and report on community growth and engagement metrics.
- Understanding of content management systems, graphic design tools, or video editing software.
- Prior experience working with decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) or open-source communities.
