In the last ten years, Vio.com has grown to approximately €1 billion GBV, 8X growth since 2018. We’ve delivered this consistent expansion while remaining bootstrapped and profitable, competing successfully against some of the most sophisticated customer acquisition machines in the world.

The mobile applications (iOS and Android) we launched in 2023 are already a big success, and we are aiming at 7M global app installs by the end of 2025, as we are beginning to build Vio.com as the brand for value-seeking travellers worldwide;

We are now at a stage in our growth where we are looking for a commercially focused, data-driven CMO to position Vio.com as a scalable, differentiated travel brand through a full-funnel marketing approach that:

  • Builds a strong, ownable brand identity that customers and industry partners aspire to engage with 

  • Expands demand spaces by identifying and activating new high-growth segments and evolving from relying on performance acquisition channels.

  • Optimizes the customer lifecycle to maximize conversion, retention, and repeat transactions.

What you will do: 

Brand strategy & positioning

  • Develop a distinct and compelling brand positioning beyond price-led differentiation.

  • Build a long-term story telling framework to create emotional brand equity.

  • Establish consistent brand assets and messaging that drive recognition and trust.

  • Ensure alignment of brand voice, creative strategy, and execution across all channels.

  • Work cross-functionally with product, UX and customer service teams to integrate brand-building into the end to end customer experience.

Holistic paid media strategy 

  • Expand into upper-funnel (lower intent) and alternative channels e.g. video, social, sponsorships (YouTube, TikTok, CTV, affiliates, and direct partnerships etc).

  • Develop a multi-channel performance marketing approach that balances efficiency with long-term brand growth.

  • Establish unified measurement and data-driven budget allocation to optimize media spend.

  • Build strong agency (where relevant) and platform relationships to maximize return on ad spend.

CRM (Precision Marketing) strategy

  • Build a personalized, behavior-driven CRM strategy that increases retention and LTV.

  • Implement / improve automated lifecycle marketing flows (onboarding, re-engagement, win- back campaigns).

  • Expand CRM beyond email to include push notifications, in-app messaging.

  • Support segmentation strategies based on customer behavior, frequency, and engagement.

  • Own Vio.com’s loyalty/membership program, ensuring it enhances customer value and repeat transactions.

Attribution & measurement framework 

  • Define a comprehensive marketing measurement framework that integrates both short-term and long-term impact.

  • Improve marketing attribution models, ensuring greater accuracy in tracking conversions and efficiency.

  • Lead the implementation of unified measurement and first-party data strategies.

  • Work with data & analytics teams to ensure marketing KPIs align with overall business performance.

Team leadership & organizational structure 

  • Build and manage a high-performing brand, CRM, analytics, and paid media (post click / post impression) team / agency ecosystem.

  • Lead collaboration between marketing, product, commercial, and analytics teams to drive company-wide growth initiatives.

  • Develop internal capabilities for storytelling, content production, creative execution, connections planning.

  • Foster a culture of innovation, creativity, and test-and-learn experimentation. 



Who you are: 

  • Proven track record of delivering profitable growth in a marketing leadership role (CMO etc) at a significant travel company or marketplace (+€500m rev / year).

  • Comfortable managing large marketing budgets (€100m+ / year) and optimizing for ROI, not just top-line growth.

  • Deep expertise in developing distinctive and effective consumer brands.

  • Strong understanding of customer retention and lifecycle marketing.

  • Commercially driven decision maker, focused on data and business impact.

  • Confident working in a fast-paced, global, and cross-functional environment.

  • Experience leading and scaling high-performing teams. 

  • A natural leader who brings energy, focus, and execution to the table.
