Job Description

This internship will be partially remote but the hired applicant will be expected to come into the Mount Prospect office & collaborate with the team. Only local applicants will be considered.

The mission of our business strategy team is to provide actionable business insights to our internal clients, business units and sales force, to drive change in the marketplace. 

Our internal customers are members of the Power Tool board, all Business Units (Dremel as well as Bosch Power Tools, Measuring Tools and Accessories), the Global Digital Unit, Service and Sales.

As an intern, you will play a significant role by supporting ongoing strategy and growth projects including new market entry, sales/marketing initiatives, operations improvement and/or M&A activity. 

Your responsibilities are:

  • Perform quantitative market intelligence to determine market size/shares including identifying significant market trends
  • Analyzing new markets incl. users, competitors, channels of distribution, and summary reports with PowerPoint
  • Pioneering new market analysis tools & creating dashboards to demonstrate their capability
  • Preparing executive level/board presentation material incl. key findings
  • Participating in strategy projects and supporting cross-functional teams working with agile tools and methods

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited Business Studies, Business Information Systems, Finance, or Marketing program. Recent graduates (less than 6 months ago) can also apply.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA required
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills required
    • Comfortable analyzing large data sets and explaining the results succinctly
  • Experience with Power BI is a plus
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills
  • Detail oriented - attention to detail is extremely important in this role
  • Must be able to successfully complete a drug and background screen pre-employment
