Business Development Representative

Amper is a fast-growing SaaS company providing innovative solutions for manufacturing visibility. We're scaling rapidly and are looking for a motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to help us drive our growth by creating new business opportunities for our sales team.

The role:

The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for creating meetings and generating pipeline for our Account Executives. This role involves crafting relevant messaging based on Amper's inbound leads and marketing signals to connect with potential customers. The ideal candidate is resourceful, driven, and comfortable using AI tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness. You will play a key role in initiating relationships with new prospects and setting the stage for successful sales conversations.

This is a remote-friendly role with the option to work from our Chicago or San Francisco offices. We support flexible work while valuing the collaboration and speed that come from working together in person.

What You'll Do:

  • Pipeline Generation: Develop and execute strategies to generate meetings and pipeline through outreach to inbound leads and marketing-qualified signals.

  • Messaging & Outreach: Create and deliver personalized messaging to prospects that resonates with their challenges and highlights the value of Amper's solutions.

  • AI Tools Utilization: Leverage AI tools to optimize outreach strategies, improve messaging relevance, and enhance prospecting efficiency.

  • Collaboration with Account Executives: Work closely with Account Executives to ensure high-quality handoffs, supporting them in targeting key accounts and aligning on sales strategies.

  • Inbound Lead Qualification: Engage with and qualify inbound leads, ensuring they meet the criteria for further discussions with the sales team.

  • CRM & Data Management: Maintain accurate records in CRM tools, such as HubSpot, ensuring that all prospect interactions are logged and updated regularly.

  • Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices in sales development, and new technologies, especially AI-driven tools, that can improve your outreach.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of success in a BDR, SDR, or similar sales development role, in a SaaS or technology environment, preferably working with prospects in the manufacturing or related industrial sector.

  • Experience with CRM tools like HubSpot or Salesforce to manage leads and track activities.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create relevant, personalized outreach.

  • Familiarity with AI tools and their use in a sales context is a strong plus.

  • Understanding of the manufacturing sector or interest in learning about the industry is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits:

The annual base salary for full-time employees for this position is $70,000, with incentive potential of $30,000 at plan. Please note that base pay offered may vary depending on factors including your city of residence, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
